He saw the fisherman walking away from the shed with several men. They were dressed in what looked like "sparkling" suits of some kind. There had been, at times, groups like America's EPA and/or game wardens in the area of the lake, and just possibly this is what he saw near the shed. Maybe the group had caught the man poaching, and was taking him into custody.
Turning back to the UFO, he could see it slowly moving toward the harbor. The witness' bicycle had lost its chain, and he could only walk. As he continued to watch the UFO, he clearly saw it land without a sound on the field near the sailors' shed. Oddly, the craft was sitting perfectly level, although the ground was much at a grade.
Now with a closer look at the object, he estimated that it was from 8-10 ft. in height, and at least 30 ft. across. As the moved closer to the shed and the area where the UFO had landed, he saw a sign that said: "Sailors Area, No Strangers Allowed." It was at this point that he saw an elderly woman and her dog at the back of the landed UFO.
He also discovered that the UFO was not really sitting on the ground, but hovering just above it. The lady's dog walked underneath it and back. In his mind, he asked: What was this strange object? He thought that possibly it was some type of new modern travel method.
As he and his bicycle moved along the grounds, the woman passed close to him. She appeared to be heading to a nearby gate. Our witness decided he would go into the UFO and inquire about passage on the craft. He thought the old lady was there for the same reason.

Multer, who was described by Ed Balint at CantonRep.com, as a blue-collar worker, a World War II veteran who had been wounded during the war and had participated in the Invasion of Iwo Jima, apparently told family before he died that he had seen something from another world. He was married young and worked at the Timken Company as a truck driver.
According to the family, he told them that he had hauled debris from the flying saucer crash for testing at the plant. He said he had been told, along with two fellow truck drivers to pick up a load from the rail yard. He said that three trucks, covered by tarps, carried the material to the Timken furnaces for testing. His truck had the largest of the loads.
When they arrived at the plant, the were met by the FBI agents. In an incredible breach of security, one of that agents told him that the metal had come from a flying saucer recovered in New Mexico. Multer was told by an FBI agent not to tell anyone about what he had seen. It was all highly classified.
According to the story, Multer talked to someone at the plant who told him that the metal couldn't be cut and couldn't be heated, let alone melted. It was lightweight and silver or gray, which isn't much of a description.
This story apparently surfaced in the mid-1990s when William E. Jones and Irena McCammon Scott heard it from Multer's widow. He died in 1982 without talking to anyone about it other than family. They, of course, believe it, insisting that Multer wasn't a liar and didn't tell tales. So, what do we make of all this. Frankly, I'm quite skeptical of this story. Why? Because there is no reason for the Army to have taken that much debris to a private company to run these sorts of tests. The facilities at Wright Field, in 1947, could have run the tests and not risk compromising the case. Why take that chance?
And, of course, the testing was compromised by Multer. He told family about it, apparently all his life. He was told not to talk, but did anyway.
And here is something else. Why was the FBI involved at all? The Army could have assured that the truck drivers and all the other civilians were warned not to talk about the case. No reason to bring in the FBI or to let even more people in on the secret.
That's why this case breaks down. There is no need to compromise security by using a civilian agency, no matter what sort of governmental contract work they might be doing, or had done. There was no reason to take three truckloads of the stuff to Timken for testing.
If you are attempting to keep a secret, you simply do not involve people who have no need to know. You don't ship it to a location to be put on trucks to be driven to a civilian plant. You protect it carefully and run the tests in isolation on military facilities. You don't involve the FBI or anyone else, if you can avoid that.
Ben Franklin said that three people can keep a secret if two of them are dead. In this case, it seems that the Army was spreading the secret much farther than necessary.
And if they needed the special facilities at Timken to test the debris, there is absolutely no reason to tell the truck drivers what they are carrying. There is no reason to mention flying saucers or New Mexico. Just tell them it is a specialized aircraft from Dayton (location of Wright Field) and let it go at that.
In fact, there is no reason to give this information to the FBI agents. They could have done their jobs without knowing the material was from a crashed flying saucer in New Mexico. A cover story could have been invented... sort of like the Project Mogul story we're saddled with today.
No, I am not buying this story, especially since there is no way to corroborate it. Without something more, we might want to note it in passing, but we certainly don't want to add it to the lists of evidence proving Roswell was extraterrestrial. It doesn't do that and it is an unnecessary diversion. Let's just leave it at that.

"I was in a plane last week when I looked out the window and saw this white light. It was zigzagging around. I went up to the pilot and said, 'Have you seen anything like that before?' He was shocked and said, 'Nope.' And I said to him: 'Let's follow it!'

I was the pilot of the plane when we saw the UFO. Also, on board were Governor Reagan and a couple of his security people. We were flying a Cessna Citation. It was maybe nine or ten o'clock at night. Paynter added the UFO incident didn't stop there. He stated that he and Reagan had discussed their UFO sighting "from time to time" in the years following the incident.
Jimmy Carter's UFO Incident
One evening in 1969, two years before he became governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter was preparing to give a speech at a Lions Club meeting. At about 7:15 p.m (EST), one of the guests called his attention to a strange object that was visible about 30 degrees above the horizon to the west of where he was standing. Carter described the object as being bright white and as being about as bright as the moon. It was said to have appeared to have closed in on where he was standing but to have stopped beyond a stand of pine trees some distance from him. The object is then said to have changed color, first to blue, then to red, then back to white, before appearing to recede into the distance.
Carter felt that the object was self-luminous, but not a solid in nature. Carter's report indicates that it was witnessed by about ten or twelve other people, and was in view for ten to twelve minutes before it passed out of sight.
In 1973 Carter said...
"There were about twenty of us standing outside of a little restaurant, I believe, a high school lunch room, and a kind of green light appeared in the western sky. This was right after sundown. It got brighter and brighter. And then it eventually disappeared. It didn't have any solid substance to it, it was just a very peculiar-looking light. None of us could understand what it was."
Speaking in a 2005 interview, Carter states :
"All of a sudden, one of the men looked up and said, 'Look, over in the west!' And there was a bright light in the sky. We all saw it. And then the light, it got closer and closer to us. And then it stopped, I don't know how far away, but it stopped beyond the pine trees. And all of a sudden it changed color to blue, and then it changed to red, then back to white. And we were trying to figure out what in the world it could be, and then it receded into the distance."
Sceptics and believers alike are quick to tread lightly on the topic of ALIEN CONTACTEE's. And I don't mean ALIEN ABDUCTEES. The CONTACTEE is the product of a different era. The Contactee harkens back to the days when pulp magazines exploded on the scene, recanting the exploits of Venusians and their taste for blonde pin-up girls. George Adamski and Billy Meier are contactee's. Whitley Strieber is an abductee. Essentially, if your encounter is silly, and brings to mind a hokey episode of THE OUTER LIMITS, then no one cares about your ordeal. However, if your experience is reminiscent of an episode of THE X-FILES, then by all means, sit down, have a coffee...tell us all about it.
You see, none of this bodes well with me, because in reading through all the literature out there, regarding CONTACTEE's and ABDUCTEE's, I've come to the conclusion that their are illusionists on both sides, but there are also genuine experiences deserving of careful and respectable analysis.
So, my thing is this...what if Adamaski did see something? But, what if Adamski couldn't produce proof, so he faked it. That's right. He saw a UFO, he saw Blonde/Nordic beings, but he didn't take any pictures. So what did he do, he forged them. And what if Billy Meier and countless other so-called HOKEY Contactee's did the same thing?
Reminds me of the COTTINGLEY FAERIES incident. Two girls see faeries, they tell their parents...no one believes them, so they go off into the yard and they perpetuate a hoax. Does that mean they didn't have the experience? Does it in some way devalue that moment in time when two little girls danced among the faeries? I don't know. I wasn't there.
But I can't help but wonder whether there's a little truth to every lie and if so, maybe Adamski was the victim of his own vain attempt to do what we are all doing...everyday...
