Kera UFO Encounters
Here's what I found out.
There is inexplicably little information to be found - in the western world anyway - regarding the strange series of events that began on August 25th, 1972, in the Kera area of Kochi City, which is the capital of Kochi Prefecture on the Shikoku island of Japan. On the afternoon in question a 13 year-old student named Michio Seo was on his way home from middle-school when he allegedly caught site of an unbelievable metallic object hovering over a rice field.
The awestruck Seo watched the odd apparatus zip back and forth above the waterlogged paddy. The airborne object resembled a dull, silver hat with a flat bottom and a narrow lip. The curved dome atop the lip was relatively steep and level at the apex. Seo would later compare the objects movements to that of a bat making hairpin turns in pursuit of its insect prey.
Seo's curiosity swiftly usurped his fear and he began to approach the miniature flying saucer, but before he could get too close the object allegedly shot a blinding beam toward the teen. Seo, not wishing to further provoke the UFO - or its possible occupants - quickly fled the scene.
As soon as young Seo got back to Kera he hurriedly rounded up four of his best friends - Hiroshi Mori, Yasuo Fujimoto, Katsuoka Kojima and a buddy known only as Yuji - and told them about his incredible encounter. His pals, skeptical, though intrigued, wasted no time in forming a makeshift posse to go out and find this miniature flying dome.
At approximately 7:00 pm. Seo, Mori, Fujimoto, Kojima and Yuji arrived at the rice field. The boys kept a steadfast vigil for the better part of an hour when, to the shock of everyone except Seo, the small object returned. The thrilled teens stared at the strange object that was hovering over the field approximately 60-feet from them. Then, as the sun dipped low over the horizon and dusk began to settle in, the device began to emit a pulsating multicolored light.
One of the young men, no doubt bolstered by the pressure of his peers, began to stalk the erratically floating UFO. As he neared the object it suddenly emitted an earsplitting "pop" and began to shimmer with a bluish hue. This was all the youngsters needed to send them sprinting back toward their homes.
Seo, Mori, Fujimoto, Kojima and Yuji would occasionally visit the field following their sighting and on September 4th - Just over a week after their initial run-in - their patience paid off. At about 9:30 pm. the five young men once again came face to face with the silvery object flying nearly 3-feet above the field. The little UFO started glowing and began to zoom toward the boys causing them to scatter and once again retreat with haste.
Once home, the boys reclaimed their courage and vowed to procure a camera and spend every waking moment they could staking out the field in hopes of finally capturing the unusual object on film. Their surveillance began the next evening, but the object did not return. The following night, however, would be a different story.
On September 6th the boys' vigilance paid off when on their way to the rice paddy they spied the object lying on the ground in the middle of the field before them. The teenagers, now armed with a camera, sagely decided to snap a photo before they approached the downed "craft."
Once the flashbulb went off the object on the ground began spinning and rapidly rose into the air. The unknown cameraman shot another photo just after its ascension.
This is where accounts get a little murky, but what seems to have happened next is that the object emitted a light that was even brighter than the flashbulb's burst, before once again plummeting to the ground.
The still spinning object almost seemed to be burrowing into the dirt when it stopped moving.
At this point 14 year-old Hiroshi Mori cautiously moved toward the incapacitated flying saucer. The brave (or foolhardy) boy decided to bend over and lift the object up with his bare hands.
As he did so he claimed that he felt something "moving" inside. A photo of Miro holding the UFO was then taken.
The boys marveled at their peculiar prize before Miro wrapped it in a plastic bag and placed it in his backpack and took it home. Once there the boys warily measured the object and declared it to be nearly 8-inches wide and almost 4-inches in height. The now inert UFO was said to weigh about 3 lbs.
They also discovered a series of concentric curves, thirty-one small holes and three unique designs etched into the base of the object. The gang deemed that the etchings represented waves or clouds, a bird or some sort of "flying object," and something they interpreted to be a budding flower. There was no visible propulsion system.
Following their inspection, the boys repacked the object in plastic and brought their puzzling find to the home of Yasuo Fujimoto. Fujimoto's father, Mutsuo, was the current director of the Center for Science Education in the city of Kochi.
The senior Fujimoto gave the object a cursory examination, assuming that the find was of little significance. That would be a decision that he would come to regret. In his own words:
"The frequent nights out of the boys began to worry parents, I told my son if it was true what he said, to bring the object. He did: it was something like an ashtray, cast iron, but too light for this metal. (It) had a top down it was impossible to open and inside were pieces similar to a radio. I did not give more importance, but now I regret not having studied more closely."
Following Mr. Fujimoto's brief once over, the object was returned to Mori's backpack, but, much to the chagrin of all involved, it was discovered missing just a day later. This would not be the last time this mysterious object would be seen... or recovered for that matter.
Over the course of the next two weeks Seo, Mori, Fujimoto, Kojima and Yuji all claimed to have seen the same (or identical) objects in flight on at least six more occasions. Fujimoto himself saw it three times. The gang even managed to capture it a second time, but the object disappeared under mysterious circumstances yet again.
The boys - trying to predict when the object would next rear its proverbial head - deduced that the single unifying factor in all of their sightings was the fact that they never seemed to occur on rainy days. This, they surmised, was due to the fact that the object "feared" water. Bearing this in mind they formulated a plan to capture the device.
On September 19, the gang once again returned to the now notorious rice paddy to try and detain the mystifying UFO. This time the boys were armed with a bucket of runoff water and some tattered rags. As luck would have it they found the device sitting motionless on the ground.
The group hurriedly covered the object with rags and poured the water in the bucket over it. They then turned the object over and started to fill the perforations at the base with the remainder of the greenish water. As soon as the liquid entered the device it began emitting a deafening noise that they compared to a cicada-like buzzing. The interior of the object also started to glow.
The youngsters were abruptly struck with the notion that the object might try to retaliate to this perceived attacked and started to back away from the stationary UFO, pelting it with stones. The once flying object remained earthbound and the gang reclaimed their potentially extraterrestrial quarry.
Once back at Katsuoka Kojima's house, the young men looked through the tiny holes and noticed what appeared to be a plethora or miniature mechanisms, Levers and weird drawings.
The intrepid youths then took more pictures and attempted to open the device by inserting a wire into one of the holes and manipulating it.
Eventually they hung the device upside down by the wire, Gravity pulled at the top of the dome resulting in a slight separation between the top and bottom sections of the object. The boys could see what they referred to as "complicated electronic equipment" inside the item as well as unidentified a viscous material. Could this have been the liquefied remains of the pilot, who - much like Oz's Wicked Witch - melted on contact with the water?
The boys then attempted (with a dubious sense of scientific integrity, no doubt) to see how strong the exterior shell of the object was by pummeling it with a hammer. They discovered that even the thinnest parts of the light metal remained unblemished no matter how hard they hit it. This seems to be a fairly common trait of materials recovered at alleged UFO crash sites.
At this point the boys decided to try yet another experiment by putting the UFO in the oven to see what kind of temperatures it could withstand, but before they got the chance Kojima's mother, Aiko Katsuoka, wisely put the kibosh on that. She also refused to allow them to store it in her refrigerator, which the boys believed might prevent the UFO from escaping yet again.
The gang then came to the conclusion that the device was likely some kind of "remotely controlled" surveillance mechanism of unknown origin. It was then that they decided it was time to reveal their cherished mystery mechanism to their classmates the following week, but before putting it away for the night they wrapped in additional rags under the na"ive impression that it would prevent the thing from leaking any "atomic radiation."
The object was then given to Seo and Mori for safekeeping while the rest returned home for dinner and chores. The young watchmen, feeling that the object was secure in the room with them, relaxed for an evening of comic book consumption and the anticipation of the notoriety that would greet them and their cohorts the following Monday at school when they revealed their wondrous contraption.
When the rest of the group returned later that evening to check on their discovery, they were all dismayed to discover that beneath the pile of rags there was nothing to be found. After a fruitless search, the boys reached the inescapable conclusion that their mini-saucer has once again flown the coop, so to speak.
A few hours later Kojima and Mori were playing ball at Mori's house. Kojima lunged over the fence pursuing the ball and much to his surprise and delight stumbled across the still immobile UFO. Kojima and Mori swiftly absconded back into the house with the recovered saucer.
At his juncture the comrades shrewdly decided that they should mark the silver dome with paint lest it pull another disappearing act. This would be to confirm that they were actually encountering the same UFO over and over again, rather than disparate (though indistinguishable) machines. The boys had lost and found the object so many times by this point they naturally assumed that if it vanished it would again turn up near the rice field or in one of their backyards.
On the evening of September 22nd, the crew gathered together of a bike ride into Kochi City. It was decided that they would all take turns carrying the device, which they no longer left unattended.
To further prevent its escape Mori determined that the UFO would be sealed in a plastic bag full of water, which they continued to hypothesize, had some sort of restraining effect on the apparatus. As if that weren't enough, the boys tied a piece of string from the knot on the bag to the wrist of whomever was carrying it to insure that nothing would happen this time.
The knotted bag containing the UFO was then placed in duffle bag and inserted into the bicycle basket of the first carrier, and the gang set off. The bag switched from rider to rider as they tore through the city until it ended up in the basket of its last caretaker, whose name was not revealed.
The gang continued their journey until they neared a local bicycle repair shop. At that moment, the final rider claimed he felt his wrist - which was attached by string to the bag - wrench with immense force. He immediately called out to his friends, who skidded to a halt ahead of him.
The boys instantly opened the satchel and untied the string and the knots on the plastic bag, but when they looked inside they found that, even though the knots had not been tampered with, the tiny UFO was nowhere to be found. The boys would never see the object again, much to their disappointment.
THE CASE IS REOPENED:
This unique case remained largely unknown to the general public until May of 2004, when UFO Comics published an illustrated retelling of the case. This introduced the encounter to a new generation of UFO enthusiasts garnering it somewhat of a cult following in Japan.
Due to the buzz, in 2007 - a full 35 years after the events in question - Shinichiro Namiki, the director of the Japan Space Phenomena Society (JSPS,) reopened the investigation. The head of the JSPS Osaka chapter, Kazuo Hayashi, was sent to speak with the remaining witnesses and confirmed that they all maintained the veracity of their original accounts.
During the course of his investigation, Hayashi encountered another tiny UFO tale that occurred in the same prefecture as the Kera event just 4 years later. On the evening of June 6th, 1976, a 9-year-old girl named Sachiko Oyama, from the village of Agawa (now known as Niyodogawa-cho,) went outside to find her pet cat when she noticed a small, yellow luminous object floating in the eastern sky.
Oyama walked into the middle of the street to afford herself a better view. It was then that she saw the unusual object descend in a nearby wooded grove. Overcome by curiosity, the young girl followed the UFO to the edge of the tree line. It was then that the object allegedly hit a tree and proceeded to silently land on the pavement near her feet at which point it emitted a "hissing" sound.
Oyama would layer describe the object has resembling a silver (though some accounts say "black") hat that was about 7-inches in diameter; a familiar description to say the least. The courageous girl bent over and touched the object, which she claimed was covered with a "slimy substance" that stuck to her finger.
Like the boys who encountered the virtually identical object in Kera, Oyama suddenly found herself overwhelmed by fear. She turned and began to run for the safety of her home, but when she glanced over her shoulder she noticed that the downed device had started to glow yellow once again. Oyama watched in disbelief as the UFO rose, spun counter-clockwise three times, then shot skyward and out of view.
Hayashi also confirmed that the then 40 year-old Oyama still stood by her story in 2007. It was then that Hayashi put forth the hypothesis that these flying objects were actually inter-dimensional vehicles that had temporarily lost their way after slipping into our realm.
Hayashi seemed satisfies with his theory, but what should we make of these mysterious objects that seemingly toyed with these Japanese kids back in 1972 and 1976? Were they UFOs in the classic sense of a interstellar or inter-dimensional vehicles? It goes without saying that by 1970s (or current) technological standards an object as decidedly non-aerodynamic as this could not have been capable of such precise or speedy maneuvers as were attributed to it.

I started to odd the plane would crash without prejudice unswerving to our house if it continued the lights where very unswerving to the ground no aircraft that big would be that unswerving. The lights seemed to completion progressing distribute for that reason hovered in the air. The lights for that reason started to complete inaccessible. As this super-Earth exoplanet has such a tight orbit with its star and observations suggest there must be a huge quantity of some unidentified liquid inside its body, any fluids that appear on its surface will likely be solvents that have oozed from below.

UFO researcher Paola Harris talked about the state of ufology in the second hour. In the latter half of the show, she was joined by Kim Arnold, the daughter of Kenneth Arnold, the pilot who coined the phrase "flying saucer," after he witnessed a series of strange tailless craft flying in formation near Mt. Rainier on June 24, 1947. A United Airlines crew reported seeing similar disk-like objects 10 days after Arnold's sighting, but in the famed Roswell Incident which occurred in early July 1947, the crashed ship was said to have a different shape, Harris noted.
Kim Arnold revealed that her father actually had seven UFO sightings following the initial one, including 25 brass-colored objects that flew in a pattern that he saw while flying to Tacoma. He also had a 1952 sighting over Susanville, CA in which two craft flew underneath his plane-- one appeared solid, the other partially transparent. "He realized at that time, they had the ability to change their density," she explained. In the initial '47 incident, Arnold observed the craft pulsating from their centers, similar to the beating of a human heart, and came to believe the objects were alive, and was later surprised when ufology focused on the idea of mechanical/metal craft and extraterrestrials.
Arnold outlined some of the difficulties her family faced, including ridicule and intimidation, as her father gained a great deal of attention for his UFO encounters. He ended up writing a book with Ray Palmer on his UFO sightings, and also did some lecturing and presentations. However, as he grew older, he became an embittered recluse, disgruntled over inaccurate reports the press made about his experiences, Arnold detailed. Interestingly, a couple years before his death in 1984, he revealed his belief that UFOs were the link between the living and the dead, she continued. Kim Arnold will debut her book, Kenneth Arnold, The Man Who Started it All, at Paola Harris' Women's UFO Symposium (to be held in May in Glen Rose, TX), where she will be the keynote speaker.

Arthur C Clarke said any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and magic is what Gods do. Our history is littered with reports of angels or spirits descending down to the Earth from the heavens. Why is it when we talk to God we look up? It's because that is where the God's came from. Zachariah Sitchin puts forward the theory that the bible speaks not about a loving creator God, but about a group of extraterrestrials discussing what seems to be nothing more than a science project. If this turns out to be true and there is a lot of evidence to suggest it is, what are the implications for humankind? The bible says God demands to be worshiped, he destroys cities and peoples and takes prophets up into heaven in fiery chariots. This is certainly NOT the behaviour or a benevolent creator.
The problem with being a creation is there is always a creator. And this usually means the creator is immensely more powerful than his creation. Let's say for the moment we WERE created by an advanced race of extraterrestrials as Sitchin suggests. This would imply that they had incredibly sophisticated technology before we even existed and would mean they're at least several thousand of years ahead of us. Just take a look at our own technological progress in the last 100 years. Now multiply that by even just ten and it's mind boggling to imagine were we'd be. The problem with this comparison of course is that it assumes our creators have the same intellects as we do, and the evidence points to them being far more intelligent than even our greatest minds.
Our species gets its power from its intellectual capability. We possess no physical weaponry or means of defense, so we rely on our technology for self-defense. So far on our own world, there aren't any competitors technologically hence we're on top of the food chain. But how would we fare against a species thousands of years ahead of us, how could ever hope to mount a challenge against them?
In the 1940's, pilots reported seeing strange orbs of light, both sides assuming it was the enemies new wonder-weapon. It seems someone out there began taking a greater interest in what we were doing. The explosion of the first Atom Bomb opened up a whole new can of worms for humankind. It meant we now had the power to destroy the entire planet, and I'm sure our creators never intended us to get that far. Their concern for what we were doing seemed to coincide with a new wave of U.F.O sightings until finally something went wrong and one of them came down at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. This incident has now become U.F.O lore and even people with no interest in this subject have at least a small idea of what supposedly happened.
From what little information we have from eye witnesses etc, we can postulate that a craft came down in Roswell and the U.S government recovered the vehicle itself (although damaged) and several small non-human entities all but one of them dead. This incident is incredibly significant because from this point on, the extraterrestrials had to "come clean" in the sense that we now had their technology and we knew they weren't omnipotent Gods. What is interesting about this moment in history is why we were left alone, why, if the scientific experiment had now been contaminated were we allowed to survive. I suppose it depends on their motivations for creating us in the first place but there's a chance they thought us worthy of survival.
It was at this time that a deal was made between the U.S government and them which meant we would have access to their technology in exchange for them having access to the U.S (and probably global) population. This deal should give us hope, because you only make deals with equals. They could have just done whatever they pleased regardless. This could either be because the E.T's we met with were just a small group of observing scientists and had no military power so they had to negotiate, or maybe they genuinely respected us. I think the real reason is far more insidious however. The evidence from later on in the 20th century suggests it was a ploy, a trick to lull us into a false sense of security. They never intended for us to be partners.
Millions of Americans claim to have been abducted by aliens at some point during their lives. Can you possibly imagine the logistics of taking that many people one at a time and studying them? It is the abduction phenomena most off all that sends tingle up their spine when they think of aliens. One minute you're fast asleep in your bed, and then there's a bright white light coming through the curtains. You see a silhouette in front of you. People say it's the eyes. There's something mesmerising and hypnotic about the eyes. They then take you aboard their ships and humiliate you with their tests and experiments. People report screaming in pain and these beings just carry on as though nothing is wrong, they seem to lack any kind of empathy. For most people this experience is not a pleasant one. In fact, it's very rare to come away from these abductions feeling positive. People are left terrified, not really sure of what happened but knowing full well that something isn't right. They can be left with physical scars, as well as psychological ones. It can ruin someone's life.
The abduction phenomena demonstrates that the intentions of our creators are not benign, there is no love or respect towards their human captives. We are in fact, being used. It's as if we're simply vessels to be abused, and we're looked upon as one of our scientists looks on rodents or other lower life forms. Any species who is as incredibly advanced as they are yet displays such contempt for Humankind is no friend of ours.
Obviously, not all non-human species are the same and we cannot paint every civilization out there with the same brush, but there appears to one species in particular who has had the greatest influence and involvement in our development, enemy number one, the Grays.
When Neil Armstrong first walked upon the Moon, the entire world watched in amazement as he set his first footprint into the lunar dust. We all imagined moon bases, hotels on the moon. We at the very least expected a permanent presence to established up there. The Apollo project was cancelled in 1975 and we haven't been back since. Forty years later and nothing.This is despite the fact we have found water up there, you'd think we would be itching to back and study it. President George Bush Jnr promised to send men back to the moon by 2020. Current U.S President Barak Obama has now cancelled Bush's proposed Moon project. Why would he do this? It's all part of the same story. The reason we haven't gone back to the moon isn't because we didn't want to, but because we weren't allowed to! Supposedly, during the Apollo 11 mission, a transmission between Neil Armstrong and Houston was made that was censored. Only certain people back in Houston heard it. That transmission was intercepted by amateur radio enthusiasts, and has world-shattering implications if it's true. Here is one part of that transmission:
NASA: "Whats there? Mission Control calling Apollo 11..."
Apollo11: "These "Babies" are huge, Sir! Enormous! OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there, lined up on the far side of the crater edge! They're on the Moon watching us!"
Neil Armstrong has also stated in the interview below what happened:
Professor: "What REALLY happened out there with Apollo 11?"
Armstrong: "It was incredible, of course we had always known there was a possibility, the fact is, we were warned off! (by the Aliens). There was never any question then of a space station or a moon city."
Professor: "How do you mean "warned off?"
Armstrong: "I can't go into details, except to say that their ships were far superior to ours both in size and technology - Boy, were they big!... and menacing! No, there is no question of a space station."
Why would they warn us to stay away, because they don't want us interfering with their studies!. They don't want us to know what they're doing out there. So, since 1975 we've pretty much kept ourselves to ourselves, not venturing out very far. Whatever Neil and the other astronauts saw, the message must have been very clear as we have obeyed them and not gone back.

It occurs to me, as I scrape the crust from my eyelids and glance at the March calendar over there, that I haven't posted a single item this month. So I have a confession to make. I blacked out on March 4, somewhere around the second sentence of a blog by Alan Boyle on NBC's website. The part where it said "Surveys consistently show that about a third of all Americans think alien spaceships are real."
Boyle posted a link to a 2012 National Geographic Channel survey about UFOs - not "alien spaceships" - in which 36 percent of respondents said they "believe" in UFOs, whatever that means. To fill up the rest of the white space, he threw in the old appeal-to-authority fallacy with this graph:
"Why is the evidence so poor?' said Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the SETI Institute and director of the Center for SETI Research. 'One really good case might clinch it for them.'" I remember reading that part just before I hit the floor. (Shostak has made a career of saying there's no good UFO evidence, but when presented with evidence, he recuses himself from reviewing it on the grounds that he's not an expert.)
Anyhow, here's what I think happened immediately after ingesting the latest corporate jellybeans. I think I'd been pretending for way too long that my capacity for absorbing the dreck that passes for UFO coverage in America was infinite. I thought the human brain had no need for bilge pumps, that it could just soak up every last drop of pointlessness without consequences, that everything you didn't need would auto-purge via aeration or some other natural process requiring no manual input. Instead - with a final hosing from NBC - the sludge evidently slopped over its containment walls and splashed onto some neural circuitry. A pop and fizz of sparks, a thin puff of smoke, flickering lights, and thats all it took to crash the whole system.
When the skilled technicians who huddled with me in recovery showed off what remained of the filter, the results were gruesome. The screen was clotted in decades of gnarly slag, an opaque buildup of winks the entire unit had to be replaced. Medical professionals suggested I quit De Void altogether and try filling the cleared space with something of value, something tangible or, failing that, something with a healthy resolution as a possible outcome.
I suspect they're right. De Void began reviewing what passed for headlines on The Great Taboo over the last two weeks and realized I hadn't missed anything. Some people were still arguing about the Roswell alien slides, even though they're not going to be released for another two months. Thats an efficient and productive use of time. And there were the usual unending squabbles over the authenticity of still and video images at home and abroad. The only person trying to forge new ground was Jimmy Kimmel, whose job as a comedian gave him cover to nudge President Obama into a shallow conversation on UFOs. Safely cushioned with the prerequisite good-natured gibes and audience laughter, the exchange mirrored his 2014 chat with Bill Clinton, which left the hard-cores combing through scraps of body language to interpret for clues to the truth.
So this is the first day of the rest of my life. Its St. Patricks Day and Im still alive and Im grateful for this second chance. Its time to save my brain and start writing about little green men.

It really looked like a damaged spacecraft. But here is the really strange part. Just appearing from the left of my narrow field of view came to more sparkling multicoloured lights heading towards the rotating triangle. These twin lights also rotated upon a central axis. Within five minutes of the arrival of these lights, the triangle lowered its aspect and headed away from me. Powered controlled flight. The twin lights just vanished at the same time. I tried video filming with my mobile against the scope eyepiece. No result. I was frozen but absolutely fixed to the spot. I cannot imagine how far away these lights were. With this scope I can clearly view Saturn's rings. If anybody can explain, please try. Thanks.

JANUARY 30, 2013 - UNITED STATES - The following is the edited statement made by the family member who submitted the case to MUFON.This is a strange story but interesting none the less so I thought I should share it to see if anybody could do anything with it. I have a video tape of my great grandma from when I was kid. She was sitting around with her sisters talking about old stories from when they were kids. One sister started talking about a story her father, my great, great grandpa made her promise to never talk about, but since she was over 90 years old she didn't think it mattered anymore. She was very flustered still just talking about it. The best we can tell, this event took place in the Logansport, Indiana, area in approximately the 1890s or so, maybe earlier, maybe later.My great aunt was taking food to her father and grandfather working the fields all day as she did every day. She would take a horse and cart out to where they were working, have lunch, and then come back home. On this particular day, she could not find her father or grandfather. She then heard them yelling at her to get inside the woods nearby and hide. She complied and that's where they began telling her that they had been watching some sort of flying machine that didn't make any sort of noise flying around the field. They supposedly watched little people get out of the craft and take pieces of corn and soil, and then they flew away. The uncle and father had been hiding in the woods for some time afraid to leave.All the people in the video have now passed on, but my grandma who is now in her mid 80s, the daughter in the story or niece, gave me this tape because she was curious if I could find any other reports from that time frame of anybody reporting the same sort of thing. AMAZING CLOSE ENCOUNTER OUTSIDE OF ANDREWS AIRFORCE BASE NEAR WASHINGTON D.C. DECEMBER 26, 2010 ANDREWS AIRFORCE BASE MARYLAND I was driving home from work on the Sunday morning after Christmas 12/26/2010 at 2:25 am and it was snowing lightly. I was traveling on Matta-Woman Beantown Road going from 301 south to Rt. 5. I was approximately half way down the road, where the park and ride is located, when I saw a HUGE AIRCRAFT ABOUT 200 FT IN LENGTH emerge out of the clouds about 100 ft over the tree line. The first thing I noticed when I saw the craft was that it had an unusual amount of lights on the front of it to be an airplane. Being that I am in the aerospace industry I see large aircraft on a daily basis, and none of them have that many lights. Nevertheless, I was just thinking it was a large plane flying low. I continued driving slowly and watching it and shortly after it came out of the clouds, it banked a hard right maybe 60 degrees or more, and at this point I could see the entire shape of the craft. It had lights covering the entire perimeter of the craft and what seemed like what would be the cockpit/fuselage. It had lights surrounding that part too. In the center of the craft where the fuselage would be, there was a red blinking light on top of the craft and one on the bottom. This is what is called an anti-collision light required by all aircraft flying in US airspace. I got excited at this point because I thought it was a B-2 bomber and I have never seen one before in person. So I was not sure of the light pattern. It had the exact same shape a B-2 except the tail of the craft cut straight across from wing tip to wing tip. The B-2 has several triangle shapes on the tail of the aircraft. Once the craft came out of its 6o degree bank and leveled off, it just sat in one spot and did not move. At this point I pulled over because I was amazed that it stopped and hovered. I did not think this was a UFO, but was just some sort of aircraft that didn't exist. So I pulled over and got out of the car expecting to hear a very loud engine running because the craft was hovering and it takes a lot of power to hover an aircraft. I got out and I HEARD NOTHING BUT SILENCE. That's when my heart started to beat really fast because I had an idea of what I was seeing. I went to grab my phone to take a picture and the lights just went out. I could still see the craft in the sky being that it was no more than 75 ft from me and it was slowing, so it was easy to see. THE CRAFT WAS DARK, ALMOST BLACK, and I could still easily see it hovering. I watched it for about 5 minutes with its lights off just sitting there hovering. After the 5 minutes, it just started to slowly move out of sight and that was the last I saw of it. I did not hear any jet aircraft in the area which I thought was weird because I WAS JUST OUTSIDE OF ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE and you can't get near that place without setting off some sort of alarm. I know of 3 aircraft that can hover and two of those are stationed in the area I work and live, those being the Osprey and Joint Strike Fighter. Both of these make a lot of noise. This craft made absolutely no noise and just sat there and hovered. I haven't the slightest idea of what I saw that night. I'm not sure it was man made or not of this earth. I'm leaning towards man made because of the anti-collision lights located on it. But I know of no aircraft that is 200 ft. in length and can hover without making any noise. I will truly never forget this experience. KENS NOTE: I feel these alien craft are starting to resemble our military craft, especially the lights.
