ROUTINE PATROL AT WARREN AFB

This report is of great interest to those who believe our government is covering up information on UFOs. The report is from a man known to us as Bruce. He spent 20 years in the Air Force, the last eleven as an officer.

His report deals with an incident at a missile launch control facility at F E Warren Air Force Base, located near the city of Cheyenne, Wyoming. It occurred in the fall of 1976, but has been kept confidential for many years until the last few years.

For many of the years he served in the Air Force, he was skeptical about reports of UFOs, believing them to be misidentifications of everyday flying objects. That attitude would change in a matter of hours. Bruce explains what he was doing the night of the sighting.

SERVICE BACKGROUND

"In 1976, I was a Minuteman III Combat Crew commander on alert with my deputy "Sam" (a lieutenant who had prior enlisted service with TAC units). In order to stay awake that night we monitored radio communication between the topside NCOIC ("Sgt. Jones") and the cops - actually Security Alert Team or SAT. They were on patrol near one of our 10 missile sites which were south about 9 or 10 miles from the Launch Control Facility or LCF."

At about 2:00 AM, he and his deputy heard Sgt. Jones order the two cops to stop their vehicle. He asked them to search out anything that seemed out of place. At first, they said that they saw nothing unusual. Then with an excited voice, someone reported a pulsating, white object in the sky.

UFO HOVERS OVER LAUNCH CONTROL CENTER

Between the flashing of the white object, they could also see red and blue lights. Sgt. Jones asked for an exact location. He was told that the object was about 10 miles north of them. All of the men involved became fully awake and on alert. Our witness hit the talk button on his radio and asked Sam what was going on.

Sam replied that the UFO was right over the launch control facility at an altitude of about 100 ft. He confirmed that the object was pulsating white, with intermittent red and blue lights. The object was shaped like a "fat" cigar, and he estimated it to be 50-60 feet in length.

He was watching the object as he relayed his description to our witness. Soon, however, he saw the object begin to drift away. He then reported that the UFO had moved a couple of miles and was now near a missile site. They immediately ordered the cops to get to the missile site with all speed, but they had to return to their headquarters for fresh batteries, and other equipment.

Soon, they arrived at the missile silo, but the object had moved away before they got there. The UFO was constantly moving around, and for several hours, it visited a number of different locations at the base. Strangely, each time the cops were nearing the object, some technical or mechanical problem slowed them down.

UFO DISAPPEARS INTO THE NIGHT

Finally, at about 4:30 AM, Sgt. Jones reported that the UFO turned into a small, white dot and "whooshed" away. In seconds it was nowhere to be seen. During the hours that the team was attempting to move in on the UFO, more base personnel were alerted by radio of what was going on.

Their reports were met with mainly ridicule. This laughter would soon fade into a more serious tone as another of the commanders reported that the same or similar object had been over one of his patrolled missile sites earlier that night. He was reluctant to report what he had seen for fear of ridicule.

Our witness and his partner Sam did report what they had seen to SAC, and the Warren Control Center immediately after the incident. They were laughed at, and were even told to report back if any "little green men" ate one of the soldiers.

Bruce and Sam were not so easily dissuaded, and told the Control Center if they did not include it in their official report, they would call and wake the base commander. The report was then logged into the book for that day's activities.

OFFICIALLY THE INCIDENT DID NOT OCCUR

After being relieved by the next crew in the morning, they reported to Control. There was Sgt. Jones, sitting in a chair, wide awake, and still quite rattled by the previous night's alert. The three men discussed the matter, and Jones told them that his crew was so scared of the UFO that they refused to go to another location if that "thing" returned.

At the next several crew departure meetings, the incident was discussed, and all of those present were told NOT to ever discuss the matter, and that "officially" it never happened. Bruce, familiar with all of the base personnel, had never seen the man who was in charge of the meetings, and no one knew his name.

Our witness states that he had followed orders for 20 years without reservation, but now feels that since other military and governmental personnel are coming forward with their accounts, he felt compelled to make his sighting public.

What hovered over F E Warren that night? From eyewitness accounts of the appearance and maneuverability, we must assume that an object "not of this world" was seen.
