Ufology Alien Looking Demon 1941
The now-ubiquitous image of the "Gray" alien (or Zeta Reticulan) in truth recently dates from the 1960s, such as the out-and-out Surprising Confiscation phenomenon was initiated by the Betty and Barney Come to life case. Otherwise that time, extraterrestrial corporation (also in fiction and, um, reality) tended to enter in a far-reaching nuance of shapes and sizes... amid Gray-like entities being very bloody strictly.

"The picture on the used up, stable by Edd Cartier for the Noble 1941 deliberation of Secret Worlds" magazine, is one of the few pre-1960s Gray-like images I've enter corner to corner. It's dominated from Henry Kuttner's bright story "The Sprite We Make itself felt" ("The face was thin, amid pasty, top quality skin of top-quality ivory, and it was precise direct. It was triangular, sympathetically wedge-shaped, fault cheekbones. The eyes were certainly cold. They skewed up nearly to wherever the hairline would regard been, and were impossible to tell apart gloomy grey-green brickwork"."). Does this extravaganza that the Zeta Reticulan vivid meme was shout in the 1940s? Well, no it doesn't. The picture isn't understood to be an alien at all -- it's the mischievous child Azazel!
