My God. What hath "The X-Files" backspun? I need to make it clear: that was a joke, ok? Need to get that across before I start getting comments telling me, "The first chemtrails were spotted in 1963! Decades before "X-Files", you dumbass!" or something like that.
I've developed a modest, passing interest in the notion of chemtrails. Interest, "not" belief. The idea goes that at least a few of the trails left behind by jet aircraft are really chemical or biological agents sprayed at high altitudes and allowed to drift down into our lungs. For what purpose? That's unknown. Could be anything really. Population control, weather control, or perhaps even psychological or somatic control by an as yet unknown shadow government bent on a New World Order. One of the more interesting theories that I have read posits that the skies are being seeded with metals such as aluminum and silicon in order to facilitate greater manipulation of the weather by the HAARP installation in Alaska.What's the difference between a chemtrail and a regular contrail? According to believers, it all comes down to persistence. If a contrail remains stationary in the sky for more than half a day, it's a chemtrail. Certain citizens of the United States, Britain, and Canada have petitioned their respective governments, demanding to know what is going on in their skies. The response from entities political, scientific, and military have been pretty standard: it's a hoax, it's explainable, there's no evidence to support the existence of chemtrails. Proponents of chemtrails point to samples that have been collected of both soil and water after purported chemtrails have come to ground. Analysis, they assert, demonstrates higher than normal levels of barium. Opponents refute this claim, stating that the levels, while high, are still within normal range and people are really just seeing regular plane contrails. And back and forth and so on.
Sound familiar? It should. While I am far from prepared to support the existence of chemtrails, I will acknowledge that the notion is no "crazier" than the UFO conspiracy. After all, if our government would conceal alien life from us, what else would "They" do? One interesting bit I learned is that Rep. Dennis Kucinich once introduced a bill to Congress that proposed a ban on weapons testing in space or in the atmosphere. It specifically mentioned chemtrails. The Pentagon expressed vehement opposition and the bill died in committee. Curious. Like I said, not ready to buy into chemtrails just yet. But as I see plane contrails crisscross the sky above my house, located in one of the most heavily congested stretches of airspace in America, I'll always wonder.

The Lt. Colonel who was a major contributor to the Air Force's official 1997 study that concluded that the Roswell ET crash of 1947 is a "myth"- now states that the Air Force's Roswell report is itself a lie. The Colonel goes further to state that what he really believes to be true is that aliens actually did crash to Earth decades ago! He adds that he was "used" and that the the author of the Air Force report "was on a mission" with no interest in discovering what really happened at Roswell.
In the Air Force's publication Roswell Report: Case Closed (authored by Intelligence Officer Captain James McAndrew in 1997) the Roswell crash is debunked. The report serves as the US Air Force's official and "final word" on the matter. Captain McAndrew explains in the Air Force report that "crash test dummies" that dropped from airplanes were mistaken by witnesses for the rumored Roswell "aliens." McAndrew contends that local ranchers -when confronted with these humanoid figures laying on the desert floor-confused them in some way to be creatures from another world. An earlier Air Force Roswell report had concluded that the "craft" that was witnessed was actually a fallen top-secret "Mogul" spy balloon project.
Lt. Col. Raymond Madson, now 79, recently related to this author that he was the Project Officer that led the Air Force's "crash test dummy" program, known as "Project High Dive" from 1956-1960 at Holloman Air Force Base. He designed and managed tests that used anthropomorphic dummies in aerial "dummy drop" tests. These tests were part of an Air Force project to identify ways to safely parachute pilots from aircraft at very high altitudes. He tested and analyzed problems that pilots might encounter with the ejection mechanisms for bailing out of new generation aircraft.
Lt. Col. Madson is extensively quoted and referred to by Captain McAndrew throughout the Air Force's Roswell debunking report, issued in book form. His affidavit is found on page 180. Madson even provided many of the famous crash test dummy pictures used in the book. He says that he made it clear to McAndrew that although the "dummies could be mistaken for something they are not" - they could never be mistaken for small alien beings! Madson was visited by Captain McAndrew for in-person interviews over a period of two days. Madson told McAndrew that the dummies did not appear alien- and that anyone would know that these are "essentially large dolls." Madson also expressed to McAndrew that the period of time in which these dummy drop tests occured could not possibly coincide with the time of the Roswell event- the events were too many years apart from one another. McAndrew listened -but did not comment- on Madson's opinion. Madson also said to McAndrew that "we were testing with these 6' dummies to try to protect grown men. The aliens reported at Roswell were said to be child-sized."
In fact, McAndrew's Roswell report did not include Madson's real opinion on the matter at all! It appears as though McAndrew wanted to get desired comments out of Madson to be later used to support the crash dummy program explanation for the alien bodies. McAndrew took Madson's words and placed them in the Air Force debunking report in such a way that it did not convey the truth about the way Madson actually felt about the nature of the Roswell event!
Madson says that the statement that he signed for McAndrew (which appears in the report) was accurate, but that -in the context of the overall Air Force report- it is misleading. Madson feels that he was "used for purposes" and that his intent was misrepresented- he did not "buy into" the idea of his "Air Force dummies as aliens." Madson adds that the dummies had tags on them with instructions for getting a 25 reward for their return. He says that this is another reason why the Air Force explanation makes no sense whatsoever. Clearly McAndrew wanted to get all of the historical details from Madson about the dummy drop program that he could (details that only Madson could offer) and then make all of this information seem to support the Air Force debunking efforts.
Madson got an "uneasy" feeling about the whole inquiry. He now wonders why the Air Force even felt compelled in the first place to come up with an explanation for "supposed bodies" resulting from a crash "that supposedly never happened." He adds, "The whole need to even do that is unusual, now that I look back on it."
We discussed that the Air Force had (in 1994) already issued a "final word" debunking report on Roswell, explaining that the crash resulted from a top-secret Mogul balloon project. Why then the need in 1997-three years later- to come up with yet another "final word" report detailing the explanation, this time for the bodies? If it was a balloon, then that should have been the end of the inquiry. Paraphrasing Shakespeare, "Methinks doth protest too much." McAndrew objected so much to the idea of the ET nature of the crash that he lost credibility and he has revealed a hidden motive.
Madson then becomes more emphatic: "I didn't trust McAndrew. In fact, I don't even like him. I don't like the way that he operates." Madson goes on to say that he even gave McAndrew some of the famous photos of the crash test dummies that are used throughout the Air Force debunking report. Madson states that McAndrew never returned any of the original materials that he had offered to McAndrew for reproduction. Madson said that after the Air Force's Roswell report was issued and he read it -alarmed- he called McAndrew repeatedly, but McAndrew never returned Madson's calls. So incensed was Madson that he debated whether to call McAndrew's Air Force superior.
Very tellingly Madson now says that, "McAndrew was sent on a mission." Today he had no doubt that McAndrew "was assigned to carry out a directive" that was intended to "produce a specific result." I asked him, "Was McAndrew on a mission to uncover the truth about Roswell?" Madson simply repeated, "No, he was on a mission." Asked if he felt that McAndrew himself believed his own report's conclusions, Madson paused and again intoned, "McAndrew was sent on a mission."
But Madson goes far beyond saying that the Air Force used his "crash dummy program" as a feeble explanation and "cover story" to debunk the stories of Roswell alien beings.
Amazingly, Madson believes that an extraterrestrial crash actually had happened - and that the bodies were stored for a period of time at Wright Patterson! He bases this on the fact that he himself had served at Wright Patterson in the early 1950's -before going to Holloman AFB to conduct the crash dummy tests. He personally had heard -just a few years after the Roswell event- directly from "others who would have been positioned to know" that there was a "very secure facility" at the base that served as the storage place for the alien bodies that were recovered from a crash sometime before he began employment at Wright. Although he was intrigued by what he had heard about all of this, he told me, "you just didn't ask a whole lot of questions like that in those days." Madson adds, "I believe that the talk was serious, but that the matter was kept highly secret at the time." Madson also feels that it is likely that there is a reverse-engineering program of the recovered technology in place that he says, "is only accessible by those with a Need to Know."
What makes this even more interesting is that Col. Madson met Mrs. Madson -his future wife- while employed at Wright in the early 1950's. Mrs. Madson was employed at the time as a secretary for Wright's base medical laboratory. Astonishingly, she had also been hearing the very same "scuttlebutt" as heard by her soon-to-be husband. She had been told by some of those that she had worked with about child-sized beings "from another world" who had crashed to Earth. Sometime prior to her employment they had been retrieved, brought back to the base and then studied secretly.
Madson says, "we both knew not to say anything much to each other about it at the time. But today, my wife can't stop thinking about it- and neither can I."
David Icke and the global conspiracy
David Icke is a British writer who proposed these two hypothesis about the alien abduction phenomena: the abductions are strictly linked with military genetic experiments conducted by alien beings operating together with various terrestrial army forces;

Icke has drawn parallels with the 1980s science-fiction series V, in which the earth is taken over by reptiloid aliens disguised as humans.
According to Icke, the reptilian group includes many prominent people and practically every world leader from Britain's late Queen Mother to George H.W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Harold Wilson, and Tony Blair. Two of the biggest events in 2010 UFO news came from Professor Stephen Hawking and seven former U.S. Air Force pilots.
Perhaps the most interesting thing is the difference in opinion between these two parties.
The topic? The disposition of the aliens. Their "agenda" so to speak.
Mr. Hawking caused quite a stir when he made the statement that WE SHOULD NOT SEEK OUT ALIEN LIFE. Instead, we should be doing everything in our power to hide from the aliens.
Actually, his wording was more along the lines of avoiding any contact but the message he was sending can certainly be taken as a warning for us earthlings to hide as best as we can.
Why would the professor make such a statement?
Because he believes alien life is certain to exist in many places beyond our own planet and we have no way of knowing what that alien life will be like.
HIS REASONING IS INCREDIBLY SIMPLE AND YET HIGHLY LOGICAL. This universe contains an estimated 100 billion galaxies. Yes, galaxies! As you know our own planet is but one of many in the Milky Way galaxy.
Hawking suggests that each galaxy contains hundreds of millions of stars and planets. In such an immense space, it is highly unlikely and indeed, illogical, to expect that Earth is the only planet to hold life.
He believes the important question is not "do aliens exist?" but "what are they like?" While Hawking expects that most other life will be extremely simple such as microbes, at least a few of the life forms out there are certain to not only be intelligent but also likely to present a threat to humans.
Professor Hawking considers the possibility that aliens may have already exhausted all natural resources on their home-world so have taken to space as Intergalactic nomads traveling from planet to planet conquering and raiding the resources on each world.
I find it very interesting that this bit of 2010 UFO news reminds me very much of the movie "Independence Day "where aliens bear an uncanny resemblance to what Hawking described. In the movie, the aliens are described as being similar to locusts, moving from planet to planet devouring all resources from each one.
Regardless, I must admit that the professor indeed makes a valid point and he drove that point home in his conclusion which compared contact between alien races and humans to the outcome of Christopher Columbus making contact with Native Americans.
Now, let's take A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITE VIEW.

In contrast to Stephen Hawking's view, the conclusion of the seven former U.S. Air Force Pilots is that, whoever these beings are, they obviously want us to stop our continual bickering between nations around the world and to cease the pursuit of nuclear weaponry. They aren't up to no good. How do we know this? Because they haven't obliterated us yet.
Of course, one may wonder why the aliens care.
Are their motives altruistic? Do they truly wish to save us from ourselves or do they view our nuclear weaponry as a threat to them.
PERSONALLY, I'D LIKE TO BELIEVE the former. It is my great hope that any beings far more advanced than us, and most likely far older than the human race, would have gained enough knowledge to make better choices and display more admirable characteristics than we have demonstrated through centuries of war and oppression.

I originally wrote this report to send to HUFON as an outline of our basic plans. I hope that anyone that is interested will get involved. Preliminary Ideas:
During the month of March, Compuserve Ufology section leader David C. Brune, of the New Age forum, posted a message asking members for ideas on contacting the aliens in peaceful manner while making positive contact in the form of photographs or visual recording media.
I suggested that a group approach be taken utilizing the methods of other organizations, but on a larger scale. Other groups have attempted telepathic contact, but with limited success. It is possible that a large number of groups concentrating on the same subject at the same time could be used to attract the attention of the aliens.
From this point after many discussions with various persons a plan for executing a Group Telepathy Project has evolved. For the sake of time, the Group Telepathy Project will now be referred to as GTP. A large number of people have shown a great interest in this project including people from across the United States, Canada, South America, and the United Kingdom.
Various concerns and suggestions have been voiced. The largest concern is of the safety of the members. It has been decided that there is a possibility of being abducted during this experiment. For this reason all participants will be warned of this possibility before the experiment is continued.
The following is a outline of the major points of this project and a suggested order to be followed:
NAME: GTP, Group Telepathy Project
PROJECT: Group Telepathy Experiment #1
DATE: June 12, 1993
DESCRIPTION: The GTP is an experiment in telepathic communication with other intelligent life forms. It is presupposed that our planet is being visited by intelligent creatures of unknown origin and that by and large their communication method is telepathic in nature. For ease of communication on the part of this outline, I will refer to theses creatures as aliens.
Basically the experiment will consist of small groups of interested individuals that will meet together on the night of June 12th. These groups will concentrate on a given topic and center the bulk of their attention towards the aliens. Video, camera and audio equipment will be present in an attempt to record any events that may occur.
PURPOSE & GOALS:
1. To make telepathic contact with the aliens.
2. Make verbal contact if they make themselves known at the location.
3. Make visual contact including a permanent record such at video or photography.
4. Give the aliens positive evidence that an intelligent initiative is being taken by the life on this planet to make contact.
5. Give the aliens a sign that our people are getting organized and that a state of international communication and organization has begun.
PROCEDURES:
1. Safety must be our foremost concern. Every precaution that can be taken to ensure that all members remain safe will be taken. All members will be informed before the beginning of the experiment that current data suggests that an abduction of some or all members could occur. Special warnings will be given to those that have never been abducted before. We have no intention of inducing the trauma that an adult would conceivably go through from a first time abduction at an age after an understanding of the current reality of ones environment had developed.
2. The majority of the members of this project are users of the computer service Compuserve. For this reason all planning meetings will be held in the Formal Conference Room of the New Age forum under the Ufology section. Members may also be notified of upcoming experiments through Electronic Mail on Compuserve.
3. Leaders will be selected from each host town or region. That person will lead their own group through the experiment and will report any findings back to Robert Shepherd, coordinator or David C. Brune, section leader of the Ufology section in the New Age forum.
4. Groups will meet prior to the June 12th run at the discretion of the group leader. I am suggesting that a meeting occur with the leader and group members so that questions and concerns can be aired and then discussed by the group leaders before the first run.
5. Once all members have been informed of all dangers and those that no longer wish to participate are away from the area of the experiment, meditation on the given subject can begin.
6. One or more persons should be operating cameras and watching the sky for any craft that may approach.
7. I strongly suggest that any people not involved with the project that may come into the area be advised of what is happening and be asked to leave if they do not wish to participate.
8. Meditation on a single statement will occur during the time of the experiment. At this time I suggest that the statement read as follows, "We know what your doing, come." The meditation should be centered toward the aliens. Meditation will continue for approximately two hours depending on the result of the experiment.
9. In case of bad weather, the experiment will be moved indoors or to a partially covered structure to protect the members from the elements.
The outline above contains the general ideas and thoughts of how to run the Group Telepathy Project experiment. Things in this outline may change as ideas concerning this project evolve. The report does not in any way express the opinion of Compuserve or any other associated organizations.
