Since all half-hour sitcoms are off for the summer, there haven't been many shows designed primarily to make the audience laugh. Even the first two episodes of this season on gave me a couple smiles. Like Shawn and Gus, it's hard for me to be impartial about this--I love aliens and conspiracies. Nevertheless those who aren't as interested in te subject-area probably still got a kick out of the reactions and nerdfest.
