Brad and Sherry Steiger (seen here) have turned out another winner with their "Real Aliens, Space Beings and Creatures from Other Worlds". The title, I think, says it all. This is a book about aliens, though not necessarily from other planets.
"What does that mean?" you might ask.
We'll get to that in a moment. First I should point out that I have known Brad Steiger for decades. We have talked on the telephone many times, we have emailed one another frequently, and we have appeared on radio shows that the other hosted. I knew, when I had a Saturday evening show on KTSM that I could always call Brad at the last minute if a guest canceled, and I knew that he would be an interesting interview.
The first time that I spoke to him, which I'm sure he doesn't remember was as I was writing my first book on the paranormal. As a reference, I was using a book he had written. I was interested in the story of Oliver Thomas, a Welsh lad who had vanished in 1909 as he carried water from the family well.
I happened to know where Brad lived at the time and I was able to get his telephone number from directory assistance. I called and asked my question about the case.
"It's a hoax," Brad told me.
He said that he had learned that after his book was published, but he was quick to point out the truth, now that he had it. His philosophy at the time was to believe what people told him until he learned that they couldn't be trusted. I thought it was a fine philosophy even if it let you down sometimes...
My own experience has been that too many people will lie about too much for reasons that seem to be vague. They'll lie for the personal glory. They'll lie for the little fame it might bring them. They'll lie to put one over on someone else. They'll lie just for the hell of it.
Anyway, Brad was quick to tell me the truth and I certainly appreciated that.
So now we have a new book by Brad and Sherry and it is a compendium of tales about alien creatures that might come from other planets, might be travelers from our future or might be interdimensional beings. They cover all the theories here.
They begin with the biggest of the UFO cases which is the Roswell UFO crash and wind their way through the history of alien contact whether from the contactees of the 1950s, the abductees of the 1990s or the sightings by people of strange beings throughout the centuries.
This is a book for the novice, who has just discovered the UFO field. It provides the basics to understanding where we have gone since the beginning, providing a glimpse into UFOs.
This is a book for those who have been around for a while but who have had their research diverted into one of the many subset of the UFO phenomenon. It provides the basic information so that detailed research can be designed for a long term study.
For those who wish a good primer on UFOs, and for those who wish an encyclopedia of information about the last fifty or sixty years of alien adventures, this is the book to have. It is literally everything to everyone.
If I were to complain about it, I would mention that it is not as detailed as I would like, but then the book would probably have been so big that you'd need a crane to lift it. If there is a case for which I need additional information, "Real Aliens, Space Beings, and Creatures from Other Worlds "provides the starting point. It gives me the clues I need for my specialized research.
This is one of those books that belongs in every UFO researchers' library. And if you're not one of those, a UFO researcher, then it is just a fun read. Informative, provocative, and intelligent. A valuable resource.

A 600ft jellyfish pattern has appeared in a barley field in Kingstone Coombes, Oxfordshire, in what is one of the most intriguing crop circles ever seen in Britain.

Karen Alexander, a crop circle expert, said: "We have seen butterfly and bird patterns in the past, but this is the first jellyfish crop circle in the world.

Crop circle theorists known as 'croppies' - believe the patterns are created by UFOs during nocturnal visits, or caused by natural phenomena such as unusual forms of lightning striking the earth.
But it has been proven the patterns can be easily created artists.
Last year a crop circle described as the most complex ever to seen in Britain was discovered in a barley field in Wiltshire.
The formation, measuring 150ft in diameter, was a coded image representing the first 10 digits, 3.141592654, of pi.
Michael Reed, an astrophysicist, said: "The tenth digit has even been correctly rounded up. The little dot near the centre is the decimal point.
"The code is based on 10 angular segments with the radial jumps being the indicator of each segment.
"Starting at the centre and counting the number of one-tenth segments in each section contained by the change in radius clearly shows the values of the first 10 digits in the value of pi."
In the past year we've heard dozens of doomsday prophecies coming from all angles. But one of the most disturbing that seems to coincide almost perfectly with the December 2012 theory is drawn not from theories, but from observations about our solar system.
And the conclusions made are based not entirely on speculation, but on history. And if they do occur in the way Alexey Dmitriev suggests, it will change the entire planet as we know it and might kickstart a whole new age for the human race.

The shift in poles, mass animal die offs, recent increases in the sun's coronal mass ejections, melting ice on Mars, increases in the number of devastating storms in the United States, and sudden and sometimes completely unexplained shifts in temperature and climate could all be caused by this strange nebulous cloud of energy causing the sun to become more excited than ever before and fueling the sun to erupt into one final burst of energy that could not only destroy everything we know about our society, but also herald in a new wave of consciousness as a new generation of highly advanced and technologically minded people attempt to put the pieces back together and the infrastructure sends humanity back to a level of technology comparable to the turn of the 19th century.
And Dmitriev is not alone in his theory that NASA may know more about this than they're letting on.

If NASA or any other space agency or global government organization were to look at the world and think to itself how to tell of such an incredible change to every fundamental aspect of our lives, how would it set about doing it? How would it even go about preparing for it? The simple truth is, it would find preparation virtually impossible.
There is even another possibility. Just as people have for centuries simply disbelieved what is "impossible" or greatly different from what they understand, it's possible the reason the very notion of the end of the world can only be dealt with in our minds as cataclysmic images and allegory is because we cannot even truly understand it. How could we when it is entirely alien to everything we know? We would only be able to deal with it through symbols and weak parallels drawn from our own experience and those of fiction. It would be like comparing a drop of rain to the ocean. Or suggesting that rain comes from the ocean when in fact you could just as easily say the ocean came from rain.

The question, of course, is what do these symbols mean? Besides them bearing a passing resemblance to certain crop formations (the authenticity of which is debatable), it is difficult to ascribe any significance to them beyond the fact that they were designed by an alleged CIA operative.

Joining Col Alexander in the planned discussion is Col Bill Coleman of the U.S. Air Force who previously held a role with Project Blue Book, the former-F.B.I. investigation of UFO reports between 1947 and 1969.
Col Alexander served as chief spokesperson.

Also scheduled to join the discussion is Col Robert Friend who served as director of Project Blue Book that all together reported 701 unidentified sightings out of 12,618 throughout the years of 1947-1969, according to the now publically archived records.
Connecting the phenomenon internationally are scheduled guest speakers Nick Pope, who served as a UFO investigator with the U.K.'s Ministry of Defence, and Col. Charles Halt who was Deputy Base Commander at Bentwaters, the U.K.'s former Royal Air Force station.
Mr Pope is expected to share how both governments of the U.S. and U.K. held similar study groups over sightings and why both eventually closed their books on the issue.

In an email to the Huffington Post he touched on both governments' reasoning, briefly explaining that UFO discussions were dropped to turn off the public's prying eyes.
'In both instances, the bottom line was that we wanted Joe Sixpack off our backs. Strip out all the mistaken sightings of weather balloons and dump all the crazies, and we might just have something worth looking at,' he wrote.
According to U.S.' Project Blue Book, the project was terminated in December of 1969 after finding no valuable conclusion from their work.
THEY CITED ZERO THREATS TO THE U.S.' SECURITY IN CONNECTION TO THE REPORTED UFOS AS WELL AS NONE OF THEM SHOWING TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS BEYOND PRESENT DAY KNOWLEDGE, AND NONE OF THEM FOUND TO BE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL.
'The trick is to highlight all the crazy stuff in the media, so the subject becomes a joke, pull the plug, then run the whole thing covertly,' Mr Pope wrote.
'Now I'm not saying this is exactly what happened, but if an Air Force pilot sees something unusual and it's tracked on military radar, does anyone seriously think we wouldn't be interested?'
The event is part of an on-going Area 51 lecture series held by the museum and will mutually feature what they've identified as authentic alien artefacts taken from former UFO crash sites around the world.

Still Frame from Todd Standings video I thought I'd give a little update about Todd Standing. The above photo is a still frame grab from one of Todd's videos. There is other close up face shots of reported bigfoot in some of Todd's videos, while most people have dismissed the face shots as being fake, the part of the video where you seen this creature, in the photo above, duck down is pretty interesting but not without some controversy. The controversy comes from Todd's sister from what I've heard, that she claims it was all fake, but in any case I have zoomed in on the figure and you can make up your own mind about it.As for the face shots from Todd, I personally think they are not real, but with that said I do think Todd has had some real sightings and encounters. Todd is still somewhat of a controversial person in the bigfoot community but I have found him to be rather nice and not seen him bash on anyone.So where is Todd now? Well, over the last year or so it has been kind of quiet for Todd. The only thing I have really seen him on is the Finding Bigfoot show and that didn't go very well. The whole story about what went down on the show goes much deeper than what was shown, I have been told about some of it and it wasn't good. If Todd would like to make it public record he is welcome to contact me.Todd is currently working here in the United States with Albert Fuhs. Albert had seen Todd on the Finding Bigfoot TV show and felt like Todd had some real encounters, Albert started trying to contact Todd. So the two finally got together and are currently recording and researching in Albert's area. I know Albert a little and have found some of his videos and photos to be very good and he seems like a very nice guy.From what I understand Albert, Todd and another more famous person, that I will not name, are working on a documentary film in this area. I do not know when it will be released but I will try to keep everyone posted. They are using some of the best HD cameras available from what I am told and that the footage will be ground breaking. It has already been a lengthy process from my understanding but that their methods are working and they are getting closer to the bigfoots.It is my understanding that Albert has been researching this area for some time now but he had limited time and equipment, now with Todd's involvement he has much better equipment and some help. Over time Albert has been able to get closer to these bigfoot and now with Todd in the mix they hope to produce some of the very best bigfoot video footage ever seen.I really feel like Albert has an outstanding area for research and look forward to what him and Todd produce.
