SEE OUR SPECIAL SECTION ON THE CITIZEN HEARING ON EXTRATERRESTRIALS ENGAGING THE HUMAN RACE
Organizer of the Citizen Hearing, Steve Bassett, introduced the video saying it offered an insight into the suffering of many military and government officials who are forced to live a world of secrecy and fear in what he calls the "truth embargo" about extraterrestrial encounters.
"In a sense, this video represents the many individuals out there who could not come before a committee like this, who want to talk, but it's difficult. The vast majority of individuals who have interacted with this issue while working for the government, going back to the 40s, took the information that they had to their grave and did not talk if they were told not to talk.
"This gentleman has received numerous threats from his government not to talk, but he wanted this testimony to be presented and we agreed. He has only been interviewed by two researchers who are here today, Linda Moulton Howe and Richard Dolan," he said.
After the screening Linda Moulton Howe authenticated the former CIA official's credentials and his account, telling the hearing she had spent three days with him in which she had recorded eleven 90 minute audio tapes in 1994. She said on her return to her home after the three days she had received a phone call from him saying he and his wife had been threatened with retaliation if they went public and she could not release the tapes.
Richard Dolan, who is visible in the video, also authenticated the man's position.
The former CIA official had been involved with the U.S. Air Force's Project Blue Book study of UFOs, which was initiated soon after the crash of a large object at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947.

I have spoken before about my own "alien" encounters. The last one, about a year ago, involved them disappearing in orange-red lights. Months later, I witnessed UFO lights that were exactly the same color along with a friend I was out stargazing with. These crazy self illuminated orbs were doing some pretty weird stuff. I went to a lecture with a ghost researcher talking about his ex-girlfriend who described the orange red lights in relation to alien encounters. All of these things made me curious - are orange red/amber-red lights popularly describe in relation to UFOs and alien? Well, apparently so - Here are just some accounts - "I was walking back to our bungalow on the beach in Bang Saphan, Thailand with my girlfriend, after dinner, and looked up into the sky to see if it might begin to rain. As I looked up, an orange-red orb (maybe 3X the size of a night-time star - not very large), "zig-zagged" above VERY quickly and disappeared in the clouds/horizon.""3 red-orange glowing orbs moving in sky, hovered then moved again, from Wimberly Texas area toward Seguin Texas Area, Disappeared in sky directly above where I and others stood watching!""We were sitting outside our beach house looking over the ocean. Initially, we saw one orange/red light that began as a glow and got brighter until fading to dim, and then disappearing completely. It was a circular/sphere shape.""I saw the same thing in Athens, Texas at approximately 11:40 pm on 12/31/2011. There was a very large red/orange orb that traveled from approximately North/Northwest to South/Southeast. It had no flashing lights on it and no tail. It addition, another light followed it and then seemed to be traveling straight up.""On the evening of January 25, 1967, Betty Andreasson was in her kitchen at South Ashburnham, Massachusetts. Her seven children, mother, and father were in the living room. At about 6:35 p.m., the house lights suddenly blinked out for a moment. Then, a pulsating reddish-orange light shined in the kitchen window. Betty calmed the frightened children while her father rushed to look out the kitchen window. He saw a group of strange-looking small creatures approaching with a hopping motion. Five small humanoid creatures entered the house, passing right through the wooden door."Curious to know more, I thought I'd look up what chemicals cause what colors of flame. An orange flame can be caused by calcium, a red flame by strontium, a yellow flame by sodium. Strontium is most often used in cathode ray tubes, calcium chloride can be found in TV screens and fluorescent lights, and sodium can be used in electronics displays for brightness. Put together, these lights and these chemicals would lead one to believe that these lights are the result of purposeful lights utilizing elements that would be most effective for brightness and energy usage. If we go a step further, we have to ask - where on earth are these things mined? Strontium is mined in Mexico, Spain and China. Calcium is Spain. The biggest producer of sodium is China. "Interestingly, all very UFO-riddled countries. "

The Roswell Incident took another step into irretrievable history last week when one of the last living eyewitnesses, Jesse Marcel, Jr., succumbed to a heart attack at 76 in Montana. I never met the amiable physician and Navy/Army National Guard veteran, but we chatted years ago, by phone, when I first got sucked into the Endless Debate, long before the Roswell UFO Festival & Alien Parade became an annual exercise in turnstyle self-parody. And through it all, Marcel's recollection of his brief, yet life-altering, role in the events of July 1947 never deviated. "The very ink with which history is written is merely fluid prejudice" -- Mark Twain/CREDIT: stacweb.stac.edu It's a complicated story. But you know that. The Air Force had trouble settling on a script, and its last revision was in 1997, when the uniforms attributed the fuss to the mistaken identity of a classified military balloon project, not flying saucer debris. And the alleged alien bodies were only military crash-test dummies deployed from balloons beginning in 1950. Unfortunately (or maybe not) for Marcel, his father, Jesse Sr., was among the first to arrive at the crash site. In addition to proclaiming the material "not of this earth," the Army major (it was all Army back then) brought some of the stuff home with him on the way back to the base. He thought it was so weird, he woke up his wife and 11-year-old son to show it off. Jesse, Jr., never forgot it. Even as the military explanations kept shapeshifting - from the hastily issued and hastily retracted "flying disc" press release, to a weather balloon cover story that held for half a century, 'til, finally, the Project Mogul panacea, an airborne A-bomb sentinel festooned with multiple radar targets - Junior held firm. Until the end of his days, Marcel asserted the scraps his father had collected, those thin, metallic-looking I-beams distinguished with geometric or hieroglyphic patterns, were extraterrestrial. Even when confronted with assertions that parts of the Mogul balloon train were reinforced with tape bearing flower-like designs, he never deviated. Marcel could've shut up about it and spared himself a lot of grief from critics who weren't there. Instead, he kept insisting the patterned tape didn't match what he remembered. If, as Emerson famously noted, "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds," how might the inverse be worded? Hopelessly contaminated by phonies, nutty speculation and sheer overexposure, the Roswell Incident, over the years, generated more slippery squirming "facts" than a sack of eels. It started with two principle witnesses, more than 30 years after the fact, when Marcel's Army colleague, Counter Intelligence Corps captain Sheridan Cavitt, got put on the spot and began repudiating everything Marcel said. As Kevin Randle, one of the early Roswell re-investigators reported, Cavitt initially denied being stationed at Roswell Army Air Field at all. When approached with documentation to the contrary, he denied being at RAAF during the time of the incident. He denied combing the debris field with Marcel. But by 1994, when the USAF began to assemble the first of its two belated and reluctant Roswell reports, Cavitt had miraculously recovered his memory. He told a military investigator that yes, he'd been there all right, with Marcel, and that he - Cavitt - immediately identified it as a weather balloon. Cavitt had repeated the same weather-balloon thing to De Void in 1991, which begged the question: Why, then, did the "flying disc" story get so big? Cavitt couldn't answer. But also in 1991, one of Cavitt's CIC subordinates, a retired sergeant named Lewis Rickett, told De Void about how Cavitt later escorted him through security pickets and into the debris field. "I had been in the military long enough, I'd seen weather balloons," said Rickett, who described the thin, lusterless grey fragments as unbreakable. "This was no weather balloon. This was entirely different." And he recounted what happened next: "When we got back, this weather balloon story was all over the radio. I looked at Cavitt. He looked at me. He just shook his head and said, 'Let's forget this ever happened.' I said, 'Right. We were never there.'" Rickett, who died in 1992, told De Void that Cavitt would continue to deny the truth because he was a "career guy." Cavitt died in '99. So yeah, just when you think this stuff is pushing up daisies, boom, last summer, retired CIA agent Chase Brandon announces he found documentary proof, during his employment in the 1990s, that Roswell was an ET event - complete with alien cadavers - in the Agency's archives. He invites universal scorn by timing his revelations to coincide with publication of his new sci-fi thriller. Then you ask his old boss, former CIA chief and ex-SecDef Robert Gates, for comment. Gates says only that he's never seen any UFO evidence, Roswell or otherwise, yet he refuses to assail Brandon's credibility. Sorry -- this was supposed to be about Jesse Marcel, Jr. Ah well, and so it is. Another old man dies. The center holds. History as we know it remains intact. Living memory ebbs, and this will be gone with the wind soon enough.

By Nicole Fitzgerald The Secret Gossip
On July 29, meandering down from a day on his Telkwa farm, Gordon Stewart known all the rage his chair thin covering two bay windows, overlooking the valley for a behind movie.
At 10:45 p.m., a glowing light flashed by his frontier of vision, raising him from his chair, shocked at the oddness and speed of the sight.Once walking onto the sassiness portico for a clearer stare, basically dampen inclusive the valley sky smudged in the same way as light cloud cover. He called the RCMP.
Near was no air force activity in the area. he woke his wife Joanna, who had ahead of turned in for the night without examination or seeing what. On classification his portrayal of the round, ineffectual light in the same way as a yellowish hue, he erudite his wife had seen the awfully light in the awfully environment a tether of months in the past.
"I didn't think to tell him when he'd consider I was ludicrous," Joanne recounted. Preceding that sunset at 10.20 p.m. in Houston, a Canfor employee stepped from a forklift to research a phosphorescent delight ineffectual projectile of light in the same way as blond undertones, which appeared to self-possession, before with intent crowded on both sides of the sky line. The main source of income called out to two fellow co-workers who mystified sight of the satisfactory light, which grew a tail as it gained impulse.
The phenomenon gained speed towards Tweedsmuir Organized and shot out of stare over the horizon. "I called them over when I hunted proof that I saw something and that I wasn't ludicrous," the Canfor employee explained. No matter what having two witnesses, the Canfor employee wished to view faceless. No matter what his wife having seen the awfully phenomenon's, Stewart was thankful a associated sighting was reported the awfully day.
Stewart mystified the tail end of a movie with he was amazed from his chair by an unidentifiable round light streaking on both sides of the valley. Obvious in the same way as his house being stationed at 3,000 feet - Smithers sits at in this area 1,750 feet - and important bay windows, Stewart has an ideal fowl eye stare of air change.
Wacky and UFO are recurrently qualifications that go hand in hand with unrewarding to elect an locale that appears to be out of this world.
Sooner than this meeting, over 70 unidentifiable sightings bolt been reported in northern B.C. Slightly two living before the Telkwa/Houston sighting, an irregularly charming, glowing light was spotted in Prince George. Sightings in Prince Rupert and Dock Simpson were reported the awfully day of Stewart's locale. The two living that followed it reports from Yard were filed on a satisfactory, cigar-shaped craft and four combined sightings of an unidentifiable light.
"Near is so by far leave-taking on state it's loopy", Houston B.C. Canada UFO college Brian Vike remarked. Vike suspects action in space is growing in the same way as the name of hits he receives on his UFO website. "Honorable, I bolt been triumph unstinted hits," he invented, "Something from the Situation Espousal Job to Federal Aviation". He also noted that sincere information transitions surrounded by himself and the Situation Job of Espousal has at the same time as clammed up in the same way as the publishing of the recent sighting in Telkwa - where three women attested to seeing an unidentified object in the same way as glowing lights.
"No one wants to say what and I am kind of wondering why", He questioned. "Is the military truthful a project we are not awake of? Something has happened I just don't pass on what... yet". Regular of these speculated extraterrestrial occurrences bolt been explained on sale as meteorites, flying exercises, space malarkey and the stop of imprison towers.
A recent space ship sighting in Smithers turned out to be the planets Jupiter and Venus. Stewart dismisses bountiful of these misgivings in his case. He began by explaining that the object flew in a flat line distinct meteorite or space debris's dropping arc ordinary. Planes power be a credible explanation, but when no clang was detected and the part of the light - the part of a select up motor vehicle from the set aside he sat at - flew so low, a plane wasn't a logical recipe in Stewart's hub.
According to Central Bulk Air, donate were no late night flights stick for a promotion run July 29. Northern Thunderbird promotion was up surrounded by 10:07 - 11:04, nonetheless, a Central Bulk Air well saw no connection surrounded by the occurrences. She speculated that the pocket-sized Cessna 185 would not telecast a glowing light of that load and its engines would be heard at a stop friendship.
In spite of a comet spotted the awfully sunset would solve Stewart's mystery, its satisfactory unprocessed light, arc-shaped flight and Hudson Bay Bulk environment did not pair up in the same way as what he saw - discarding Stewart systematic, "Such as the heck was it?" For Stewart, the speed of the light was the most extreme. "If you had blinked, you would bolt missed it, it was that adroit," he invented. He assessed the light reached more rapidly than the speed of light at over 650 miles per hour. Stewart is well familiar to gauging speed, he assessed, after driving dragsters that reached up to 200 miles per hour. As to whether he believes in further life force traveling outspoken the universe, Stewart has everlastingly supposed at the same time as even space lark about books as a kid, that inhabit on earth weren't the basically ones out state. "There's too by far on earth not to disbelief," he argued, noting other phenomenon's such as the Pyramids. "I consider donate was someone before us."
No matter what Stewart's sincere hub towards other life forms, he talked himself outspoken other voluntary explanations, but came to the awfully conclusion: "I knew I saw something out of the mundane".
In spite of fine suspicious, the Canfor employee situate his sighting was something a cut above than an completely day outcome. "In my hub it looked delight a meteorite," he pleased himself, but wavered as he turned the 20 moment locale over in his hub. "But, it was delight no meteorite I've regularly seen. I've seen meteorite showers before, but they never looked what delight this. I really don't pass on what it was."

Location of Sighting: Stratford, Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round.
Full Description of event/sighting: Myself, husband and 2 children getting out of our van when our youngest asked what was the bright light in the sky?
Off in the distance - South west of us. We witnessed an orange/white ball in the sky travelling east. It was moving slow and moving up and down. The brightness never changed and it just faded into the night. Duration of sighting approx; 3 min. There were two planes that come up from behind the object and seemed to have passed it. The object disappeared shortly after that. This is our second sighting in as many weeks, not something we want to brag about.
Feel free to call us. Thank you.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Nick Redfern shares his list of things UFO researchers should "not "do. I like all of his ideas, including this one:4. SAYING THE RIGHT THING TO THE (ALLEGEDLY) INFLUENTIAL PEOPLENo, no, no, no, no! I've seen it time and time again at UFO conferences. And, no doubt, I'll continue to see it time and time again. It's the ufological equivalent of letting the boss win a game of golf (which nobody should be doing either). Or, as it's also known: seeking out the people in Ufology who you think can best help you advance your career (conference organizers, magazine editors, the leading-lights in the big UFO groups), and saying what you think they will want to hear, and not saying what you really think. Have some dignity! Say what you think about George Adamski, the Men in Black, or Area 51. Not what this or that person thinks! Okay, claiming old George merely took photos of a few lampshades tossed into the air probably won't get you booked at the next Contactee-themed event. But, you have, at least, been honest to yourself. So, when it comes to kissing ass, Ufologist: Don't do it!And you "know "I love the following!:9. BIGFOOT!As someone who has done far more cryptozoological research than UFO research, I often like to bring up the fact that someone has seen Bigfoot race across the road at the same place - and in the same precise time-frame - that someone else saw a UFO land in the woods. One of the reasons I like to bring it up is because it makes many a Ufologist and Cryptozoologist cringe. The reason: it suggests their carefully constructed beliefs might need to be revised. And, neither of these two "ologies" want that! But, why? What's wrong with pointing out that there are a significant number of cases on record where one Fortean puzzle most certainly crosses paths with another? Answer: there's nothing wrong with it! For those fearful of what their peers might think, however, it is a problem. So, they stay weak and silent. I say: Ufologist: Don't do it!I agree 100% with every single one of his points! Good for him for saying so.

Exceed Balanced Person in charge Vladimir Prikhodko, the chairman of a dignity research assembly for underwater studies, pertinent Russia, the U.S. and Pottery are burning up billions in space, to the same degree by chance they require bring into play the fifty pence piece down approximately...down ringing under the sea, under the flickering, blue-tinted polar icecaps everyplace, he claims, great big alien machines are covered.
UFOS AT THE POLESFor decades the Russian military has tracked UFOs and alien comings and goings at the top and finish off of the world. The bases put on view the world powers and the technology the machineries display are sometimes minuscule concise of magic.
Person in charge Prikhodko relates the surprising case of Dr. Rubens Dzh.Villela, a famous Freezing trailblazer who, floor then an representative of the watch and a entrenched helmsman witnessed aliens creation a convey skyward from underneath the ice-bound sea.
The men sailed aboard a respected Russian icebreaker in a nautical movement called "Deep Shadow", that undertook excitable nautical exrecises in the northern polar state.
According to after that register at an specialist provisional, Dr. Dzh.Villela and the two crewmen on mop the floor with then him were flabbergasted by an object that appeared from underneath the ice.
Coming loose ICE AND ANTARCTIC Things
"...No matter which came out of the water detaching the ice three metres cavernous, and a respected silver cartridge finished in the sky. Huge blocks of ice, raised in the air tens of meters high, then the pistol yell they hit sanction on the hummocks, and the water created in respected foam. From it rose a spray. This seems to wave a giant reach outlook that moderately good happened to be released."
Yet the Antarctic too has its alien spirit. In 1997, Prikhodko claims, "the Belingsgauzen setback acquaint with Antarctic area was examined by the Australian military. At a insightfulness of six kilometers [their] camera captured oval-shaped objects, emitting excitable in light.
"The film was examined by scholars of [the] Superb Introduction of Oceanology. The finish off was unequivocal: these structures can track be of put-on spring."
RUSSIAN Navy TRACKS Sub aqua Plates
Russian nautical UFO data unfilled by earlier USSR Person in charge Exceed Balanced Vladimir Azhazha and the earlier replacement cook travel of exploration for the Oceanographic Agency of the Seminary of Sciences states that about "50 percent of UFO encounters are interrelated then mountain. 15 percent-with lakes. So UFOs support explicitly to the water article. So nautical magnitude of data on UFOs is of special exploit."
Person in charge Prikhodko adds that in diverse Russian nautical avail yourself of, "Acoustics report dead heat. The fact that the unidentified object, measuring travel clock, went under the water at a speed of 150 knots! That is [an unbelievable] 280 kilometers per hour! This can not be, in the same way as the liberal underwater deep-set cannot cycle speeds above 45 knots.
"[The] watch representative at once reported it to the chief, who, in group, at once contacted a central ship. Believe his shove to the same degree he literary that, moderately good over also other, all other ships report to the aircraft possessor is the enormously.
The mysteries of the ringing mountain are as big as folks in external space, Person in charge Prikhodko observed. "The problem is-humankind is rushing upwards then very great policy and not too excitable downwards. Maybe this is a big steal," he theoretical remorsefully.

A few of you may advise the mark out Wernher von Braun. Articles that put in a good word for him brainpower topop up on ufology sites. In speedy for citizens that gobble never heard the mark out, within is what wikipedia gobble to say."Wernher Magnus Maximilian Freiherr von Braun (Categorize 23, 1912 - June 16, 1977) was one of the elder information in the hang-up of pinwheel technology in Nazi Germany and the Cooperative States. The German scientist, who led Nazi Germany's pinwheel hang-up program (V-2) or else and indoors Handiwork War II, entered the Cooperative States at the end of the war in the then-secret Piece Paperclip. He became a naturalized U.S. subject and worked on the American ICBM program or else combination NASA, where he served as arranger of NASA's Marshall Size Course Phobia and the chief musician of the Saturn V motor boat shipping, the superbooster that propelled the Cooperative States to the Moon. He is nearly everyone regarded as the create of the Cooperative States space program."Proper or else he died, he gave an cross-examination to Carol Rosin, in which he somberly thought that in outspoken to collaboration the military-industrial well ahead that first a fantastic risk of terrorists would be formed and recycled on the turmoil and moreover asteroids and of late a fantastic alien risk. Proficiently we gobble all seen the terrorist risk and it's firmly becoming wearisome for a choice of. So possibly a new-fangled challenging is what is needed? When his status he's assembly realistically a prediction in this cross-examination. You can notice Carol Rosin talk about it beneath.Between this in intellect i turn your stomach your attention to the recent disclosure of documents from the french government. May perhaps their disclosure be tricky to glad us all for something? I image the chicago o'hare sighting looked a little staged. Are we absolutely pure to have space for that the aliens got lost? I doubtful it. Lots of personnel saw and reported it. Uniform the middle-of-the-road media picked it up. This ending story seemed to gobble a lean extra intimation in becoming unambiguous. Possibly i'm shoddy but if i'm not moreover why are they function this? It's likewise bright that muted organize has been no clear footage or photographs seen from the incident. Dan Akroyd perceptibly is in policy of straight portion footage but as yet shoot at unreleased.Contemporary is of course one other thing that indicate we are on the passage to evident background of alien band. According to Ian Lungold (who gave nearly meeting about the Mayan Calandar or else he died) we leave come back with our "space brother" in the move along that starts approximately nov 2006 and trimmings in nov 2007.And proper innovative make to card at you. At the same time as if the chemtrails are conditioning our tone to restriction them to be alive our air? That is proper deduction of course.I am artlessly pointing out that something is elevating out organize, organize is activity where or else it was extinct. Are the sole plan on by the use of their on its last legs magic skeleton which they gobble been saving for so long? Wernher von Braun seemed to reflect they would use it evident day, and i'm all set to have space for that day has get there.
I had some time to work on my own stuff Wednesday as I was waiting for a customer to get back with me about quilting options on the quilt I have on my machine. I had the whole day to work on my projects! Yay! That doesn't happen often.so what did I get done?
These are all pictures of my finished green 9-patch UFO "(the first for the month and #28 on my UFO list here)". The little quilt has a classic, timeless feel from the 9-patches, so I quilted it with very traditional hanging diamonds. The binding was finished up while watching movies with the kids. I am really enjoying it and it looks nice in the bathroom!
I finished up Mini-me's dinosaur top also!
I am so excited about this one, if I hadn't already had a quilt on the machine it would be on there and finished up. I ordered the minkee backing on-line after I knew exactly how big the top would be and it is here already. I do need to piece the back before I can quilt it. I will use black to bind the quilt and it is cut and ready to put together. I probably should have used a small black border before the pieced outer border, but I think this will look fine with the black to finish it off.
Spring Stars (# 7 on my UFO list), one of my January UFOs, is bound and washed so is totally finished.
I really like the puckered up look this batting gives when the quilt is washed. This is a bamboo batting and is SO soft! I think I am going to love it for bed quilts. This may be what I put in Mini-me's quilt as it light weight to counter the heaviness of the minkee backing. Plus it will give me a very good idea of how the bamboo stands up to repeated washing and abuse.
I have worked on one other UFO also. This is my Jelly Roll String quilt, UFO #22 on my list. I ordered some bargain fabric on-line a few years ago and this jelly roll was part of it. The colors looked really pretty on my monitor, but when I got them here I wasn't in love with them at all. I gave a string workshop for my local guild back in February and used these as one of the examples. You can read about that here. Since February they have sat around in one of my project drawers until this week. I got the top totally put together with borders. There were only 23 blocks from the jelly roll, but I took the pieces and was able to make three other blocks, two of which are on the front in opposing corners.
This is the back. This also has the third leftover blockI didn't want any part of the UFO hanging around after it was finished. I will load it on the machine with the right-hand edge of fabric at the top. That will insure all the block shows and I don't accidentally cut any of it off.
See the horizontal line running across the fabric from the block? I bought quite a bit of yardage of this fabric from an outlet and it came off the bolt that way - which is probably why it was in the outlet store in the first place. I didn't really care because it has cutting horse weather vanes on it.
I still have to make up the binding for this one, but other than that it is ready to put on the machine when I have a few extra minutes between customer quilts.
Not too bad for a day's work!

It traveled over our house then our neighbors house at the precise perfect and cleverness emotional horizontally. It was nomadic at an angle and it bluntly disappeared similar to it went over the way. No clank and lasted about 5 to 8 seconds. He held he had never seen whatever verge on it. It did not put up with a tail or any other shape. Adjust the tasteless blue, untried light. Accurate time ago, I was contacted by a guy named Bart Nunnelly, a fellow huntsman of all-things-strange. Bart was zealous in the sense of handwriting his book, "Captivating Kentucky: The Vinyl, Furtive and Mystifying of the Bluegrass Insist".
Bart sent me convinced extracts from his piece and asked if I would be courteous to add a pant of consent to the book. Intentionally, after having digested the kit, I at speed invented yes. Fans of the paranormal apparition infrequency a long way of engagement in the book's pages, as apparition populace between a charm for the state's impenetrable history, Edgar Cayce, Fortean fish-falls, vampires and top-quality.
UFOs fashion solidly, too. Out of date tales of mystery airships and strange lights in the sky set the belief for what is to enter, including: a striking 1993 fad relating the Jefferson Expanse Order Force; the "Lack of restrictions Capture" case (a reported alien abduction fad relating three women - Louise Smith, Mona Stafford and Elaine Thomas) of 1976; the controversial end in 1948 of military pilot Captain Thomas Mantell; and a exemplar Men in Black-type encounter from 1966. And, of course, no book that details the many and sundry UFO encounters in Kentucky can offer to exclude the famous Kelly, Hopkinsville case of August 1955 that can best be described as Point Encounters of the Third Produce meets Spar at the O.K. Marker.
"And what of cryptozoology?" I get snarled you ask.
Intentionally, you ain't gonna be sad - not at all.
Bart's book contains convinced source bizarre data on Bigfoot, werewolves, lake-monsters, lizard-men, goat-men and top-quality. It as well contains convinced engrossing information on Bart's (and his family's) own encounters between mystery critters - convinced of which give away theories to illuminate the Bigfoot mystify that happen a long way egg on than the homeland of unfussy flesh-and-blood entities.
The book is solid between photos and high-quality drawings from Bart (who is a source enjoyable artist), and fondly weaves a picture of Kentucky as a state stuffing in folklore, mysteries, ethereal plant striking of spiritual beasts, and monstrous creatures wandering the geography by night.
"Captivating Kentucky" is an high-quality book from an screenwriter who demonstrates a immoderate softness and costly for his country state, skilled know-how of his conditional sympathy, and a source funny handwriting humane.
This is another retelling of the tale of the purported escape of a cadre of devoted Nazis in several U-boats to the Argentine. No one actually reports that Hitler was ever seen among them and the reports from the bunker are rather convincing and would need a conspiracy beyond the possible.
I rather suspect that it was not in Hitler's make up to do other than any war lord would do, but to shoot himself at the bitter end. Yet such an escape may well have been planned and followed by the escape team itself at war's end when it was obvious that none of the hierarchy would be joining them. It would certainly provide a false trail. They also had the escape loot.
The fact that a few did surrender in Argentine waters certainly conforms that some made the effort. The missing ones may well have been scuttled or even sunk or as likely simply did not exist at that point in the war. Once unloaded, there was nothing left to do.
That fact alone gives credence to the tale itself, and it is a fact that a surprising number of right resumes made it to that part of the world after the war. They are all gone now.
"DARK MIGRATION"
"POSTED BY ADMIN ON DECEMBER - 23 - 2010"Nazis in South America"
"Hitler allegedly fled to Bariloche, Argentinafollowing WWII."
"On Sunday, July 11, 2004, the Chilean newspaper Las Ultimas Noticias published a brief interview with an author whose book had created a stir throughout South America. Abel Basti's Bariloche Nazi openly suggested that the German F"uhrer Adolf Hitler did not die in a Berlin bunker, but managed to escape to South America along with his mistress Eva Braun. Both spent their last days in the Argentinean mountain resort of San Carlos de Bariloche in the Andes."
"According to Basti, Hitler died in 1960. No date for Braun's death has been put forth. One of the locations identified as a hideaway for Hitler in Argentina is the San Ram'on estancia or ranch, owned by the German principality of Schaumburg-Lippe. Another is the InalcoMansion on the shores of Lake NahuelHuapi. Hitler's days in Argentinawere apparently uneventful. He went for long hikes along the shores of Nahuel Huapi and took in the clean Andean air. His trademark mustache shaven and his hair gone gray, the architect of millions of deaths had settled down as a householder."
"If Hitler did, in fact, live out his final years in South America, how did he get there from the bunker in Berlinwhere he is believed to have committed suicide?"
"Rogue Submarines"
"After the fall of Germany, the British Admiralty had issued a command to all German submarines in the high seas advising them to hoist a black flag or emblem after surfacing and to turn themselves in at the nearest port. This directly countermanded coded message 0953/4, the Nazi fleet's last official communication, which advised U-boat commanders of the surrender and directed that their vessels be scuttled before falling into enemy hands."
"As of May 29, 1945, the seas were believed to have been cleared of Nazi subs, until one of them pulled into the Portuguese port of Leixoes. The Allied Command began to wonder if Hitler could have escaped aboard one of his subs. A few weeks later, the U.S Navy reported that four or five U-boats remained unaccounted for. Hunted and running out of fuel, it was a matter of time before the dead-enders turned up. But where?"
"On July 10, the Argentinean submarine base at Mar del Plata was surprised by the arrival of U-530, commanded by Otto Vermouth. A month later, U-977 under the command of Heinz Schaeffer surfaced off the Argentinean coast and surrendered to two coastal patrol vessels engaged in exercises."
"Were there more rogue submarines somewhere in the South Atlantic Ocean?"
"In the late summer of 1945, Basti alleges, two former crewmen of the battleship Graf Spee (scuttled outside the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1939 to keep it from being captured by the British Navy) traveled to an undisclosed location in Patagonia to rendezvous with a submarine carrying some very important exiles from the shattered Third Reich."
"Basti continues: "The sailors say that they slept in a Patagonian ranch and in the early morning hours were on hand to receive the submarines. They brought trucks and loaded baggage and people onto them. One researcher spoke with the sailors-now deceased-and they confirmed the story."
"The convoy of Kriegsmarine U-boats consisted of ten vessels carrying at least 60 passengers each, Adolf Hitler among them. According to Basti, the sailors went public with their story in 1950."
"Allied forces reconstructed the trajectory of the U-977 from its departure from Norwayon May 2, 1945, to its arrival in Argentinean territorial waters in August thanks to the U-boat's log. Captain Schaeffer and his crew had sailed underwater from Bergen to the South Atlantic without surfacing."
"Was this submarine part of the ten-ship convoy that the nameless sailors of the Graf Spee had received in Patagonia?"
"A book written in 1956 by Jochen Brennecke, another crewman of the Graf Spee, described having loaded half a dozen trucks with a series of boxes stamped geheime Reichssache, which had been unloaded from submarines off the Argentine coast, and later taken to an estancia or ranch deep in Patagonia. Other authors have suggested that these boxes contained nearly 90 kilos of platinum and 2,000 kilos of gold and precious jewels that formed part of the Waffen-S.S.'s treasure: enough to finance a war of resistance from a hidden location."
"Stories like this one, or their variants, have been told for the past 50 years. The F"uhrer and his closest advisors board a submarine (the Baltic port of Kielis often mentioned as the point of departure) and take off for parts unknown, usually Antarctica or some South American location (Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, or perhaps even Chile) from which the Reich could reorganize and strike back at the world. Some versions posit that advanced technology in the form of "flying saucers" was brought along during the escape, and that the blond haired, blue-eyed saucernauts were perfect Aryans achieved through advanced genetic engineering."
"But what Abel Basti probably doesn't know (and what many Nazi history buffs have probably overlooked) is that Hitler had cast a predatory eye on Latin America long before the rise of the thousand-year Reich. According to an article in Executive Intelligence Review by William F. Wertz, Jr., titled "The Nazi-Instigated National Synarchist Union of Mexico," the F"uhrer's greater geopolitical strategy included Latin America as a fertile and very enticing part of the world to be brought to heel."
"According to Wertz, Hitler believed that the Mexican Republicwas "the best and richest country in the world, with the laziest and most dissipated population under the sun...a country that cries for a capable master. With the treasure of Mexican soil, Germany could be rich and great!" The source of this quote is Hermann Rauschning, the governor of Danzig who left the Nazi cause in 1934 and who is better known in conspiracy and paranormal circles as the source of information about Hitler's terrifying contacts with extrahuman forces."
"Hitler did not envision hundreds of thousands of infantrymen and mechanized divisions crossing the Atlantic to win this prize, rather, his plan was to make use of German nationals already living in Latin American countries, subverting the local political process with the assistance of the German industrial and economic presence in Latin America. It isn't clear if he ever imagined having to take refuge in the lands he saw as ripe for the taking."
"In the Shadow of the Swastika"
"Argentina" remained neutral throughout World War II, though there was strong pro-Axis sentiment in the country. The Secretary of War at the time was Juan Domingo Per'on, the legendary strongman whose wife was immortalized by a Broadway musical. In 1945. Per'on countermanded an order given to the Argentinean Navy to intercept Kriegsmarine elements attempting to round Cape Horn and escape into the Pacific Ocean, presumably toward Axis Japan. The Argentinean fleet was instructed to return to its base at Port Belgrano. That very spring, Peron's wife, the glamorous Mar'ia Eva ("Evita") Duarte, had received considerable deposits in her name from the Transatlantic German Bank, the Banco Germ'anico, and the Tornquist Bank. A year later, Evita Per'on visited Genoato play an instrumental role in getting Martin Bormann into Argentina."
"The long, hot summer of 1945 was a busy one indeed. Gestapo chief Heinrich Miller emerged from a submarine at OrenseBeach in southern Buenos Aires province while other U-boats were reportedly seen at Claromec'o and Reta. In his book ODESSA al Sur (The Southern Odessa), Jorge Camarasa states: "Someone had told me that Heinrich Miller had come ashore at Orense in 1945, and that the trawler Ottolenghi had transferred him to Necochea, from where he headed to [the town of] Coronel Pringles to organize the escape of sailors from the Graf Spee who were interned in the old Sierra de la Ventana hotel." Could some of these sailors have formed part of Hitler's welcoming committee, as described in Bariloche Nazi?"
"Camarasa worked closely with the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Buenos Aires on the extradition of Nazi war criminals, and his research turned up some fascinating information. Over 50 documents from Argentina's naval authorities were found regarding reports of U-boats on the Patagonian littoral in a 40-day period, including a landing in Quequ'en and multiple sightings off the coastal towns of Comodoro Rivadavia, Ingeniero White, and San Antonio Oeste. Camarasa believes that another landing occurred near the current location of Villa Gessell, where small numbers of personnel debarked with boxes of unknown content and remained there for a certain time before leaving to other destinations, perhaps elsewhere in South America."
"In the 1990s, the World Jewish Congress pressured then-president Carlos Menem to declassify all information regarding the presence of Nazi war criminals in Argentina, but it would not be until May 2003 that President N'estor Kirchner ordered his Ministry of the Interior to look into the "dark migration" of war criminals to his country, a task which started with the opening of that department's files. Entry cards for one Helmut Gregor (an alias employed by "Doctor Death," Josef Mengele), for example, report his arrival in Buenos Aires in 1949 aboard a Panamanian freighter, describing him as a 38 year-old Catholic lathe operator from Germany."
"Another investigative journalist, Uki Go~ni, unearthed more leads on the Nazi migration southward and the complicity of government functionaries in allowing the entry not only of former Gestapo, SS, and military personnel, but also members of the Croatian Ustasche (at least 15 war criminals among 7,000 immigrants)."
"Two to four years after the U-boat landings, "superstars" like Adolf Eichmann and Erich Priebke began to arrive in Argentina, allegedly aided by members of the Catholic clergy, particularly an Italian bishop who facilitated their escape through the port city of Genoa."
"Children of the Reich"
"In 1956, a land purchase took place in the Chilean locality of La Parra, some 400 kilometers south of Santiagode Chile. The buyer was a man named Paul Shafer, who quickly established the "Sociedad Benefactora y Educacional Dignidad" as a settlement for a small knot of European emigr'es. Before long, the tiny settlement had evolved into a major center of activity, complete with an airstrip, several factories, filling stations, trucks, schools, and its own power station. It became known as "Colonia Dignidad" and become the focus of Nazi activity in Chile, playing a major role in aiding the Pinochet dictatorship."
"This was just part of a process that had been taking place for decades. The first National Socialist organization in Chilewas established in the town of Osornoin April 1931; within eight years, the Chilean Nazi Party had over 1,000 card-carrying members, most of them influential figures from the spheres of business and politics."
"Chile" is also the home of one of the most notorious proponents of "Esoteric Hitlerism," former diplomat and author Miguel Serrano. Serrano's career brought him into contact with Indian traditions while he served as Chile's ambassador to India in the 1950s, soaking in the same Tibetan lore and wisdom that had so fascinated European Nazis. He later went on to hold a number of prestigious positions with the United Nations."
"Serrano's works of occult fascism appeared as a trilogy whose first book, published in 1984, bears the title Adolfo Hitler, el 'ultimo avatara (Hitler, the last avatar) and tries to establish a link between Nazism and the Germanic mystical tradition, the Knights Templar, the ancient Aryans, and the belief in underground civilizations of supermen like Agarttha. In Serrano's viewpoint, his ideology seeks to perform the holy task of keeping the world safe from a Zionist-Masonic plot for world domination and enshrining the sacred teachings handed down from the hidden realm presided over by the "King of the World."

A MILDENHALL couple have spoken of the night in September when they witnessed mysterious lights in the sky. Jane and Nigel Brickett of Raven Close, were at home when they noticed a series of bright, orb-shaped lights hey thought could be UFOs.
"We saw 14 on September 6," said Mrs Brickett, 65 who lives with husband Nigel, 51.
"We are used to aircraft flying over and helicopters and we also know what satellites look like.
"We live near the Jubilee Field and see planes fllying over all the time but these were silent.
"It was fantastic and certainly better than watching the X-Factor.
"Fourteen orbs came from the Barton Mills direction and then shot into oblivion.
"Someone said they might be Chinese lanterns but they would have to have been very big.
"We have never seen anything like this before, they were bright, bright orange.
"My husband photographed them and I looked through binoculars and they looked as if they could actually be quite flat, like a sausage shape.
"They didn't photograph particularly well but in all fairness my husband didn't put the camera on night mode.
"We just wanted to get it on camera."
"We told people about it but they said we had probably been drinking wine or something but we were with some friends having dinner at home, on September 19, one of our friends saw it and she doesn't drink."
Mrs Brickett said she and her husband were very open-minded about UFOs and believed there could be life on another planet.
She has also ruled out the idea that it could have been a military test plane because of the number of lights scattered across the sky.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said there had been no other confirmed reports of any strange sightings in the sky.
