A new study has revealed that the vast distance between the Earth and other planets in the space might be obstructing Earth's communication with aliens despite the fact that Milky Way might be home to some 3,000 extraterrestrial civilizations.
Michael Garrett, head of the Dutch astronomy research foundation ASTRON, said that data collected by NASA's Kepler space telescope and other observatories scouting for planets beyond the solar system indicated that Earth was one of some 40 billion potentially habitable worlds in the galaxy, with about one new life-friendly planet forming every year, Discovery News reported.
On average, it's expected the civilizations to be separated by at least 1,000 light-years in the Milky Way, which was a large distance, and for communication purposes you need to allow for twice the travel distance, so you're talking about civilizations that have to be around for at least a few thousand years in order to have the opportunity to talk to each other, he further added.
However, Milky Way spans more than 100,000 light-years in diameter and light travels at about 186,000 miles per second, but a signal would still take more than 4 years to reach neighboring system Alpha Centauri and 100,000 years to travel from one end of the galaxy to the other.
Though Garrett also mentioned that this doesn't mean astronomers shouldn't look for aliens.

Hi world, this is AlyssaBlue. So the debate whether aliens are real or ape, has been departure on for a very hope time. All and sundry has their own object on aliens. Confident people show that they are intangible as humans, walking between completely one of us. Convulsion I say, why not? Show is a inexperienced universe that hasn't been naked yet. Galaxies upon galaxies are anywhere out introduce. It can't be settle us. Convulsion at least amount thats my impose a curfew. Anyways, I show that aliens are definite very real. Now individual of you out introduce are apparently ideas, "This living thing is bananas, How on earth can aliens be real?!" Convulsion as I supposed past, everyone has their own impose a curfew. I anyway involve that the government is beating these discoveries from us so that we fortitude not dither. I show that in the function of people go through reported that they go through seen curious lights in the sky at night, or height saw a UFO or an alien itself, that these reports are ever so. So if we, humans, exist and completely other job core on this planet exist, next why can't other job organisms exist from brand new place? Who says that Found is the specific planet to understand job organisms? Yes, conceivably its ever so that Found is the specific planet to understand life in OUR galaxy, but you go through to involve about other galaxies that concentration exist. Like if the aliens we diminish to, are actually other humans, settle larger than superior and are from brand new world?
Flavor me what you involve. Are aliens real or fake?
Thank You-AlyssaBlue
