I investigated these claims in my Blog base of February 13, "Travis Walton vs. Philip J. Klass," and found them unwarranted. Klass mentions these charges in his 1983 book "UFOs The Persons Deceived" (p. 221). Relations accusations at the time did not give off from Steve Pierce, but considerably from Mike Rogers, Travis Walton's best write to. And Klass had never articulated to Pierce at all or communicated in any way until he take about the inducement accusations in Place Barry's 1978 book about Travis Walton, "Final Congregation".

But this time in attendance were new accusations. This time Steve Pierce himself was on-board. Having the status of he appeared considering Travis Walton and John Goulette at the Comprehensive UFO Legislature in February, 2012, Pierce preset supported Walton's payment adjacent to Klass. Impartial yes, Klass tried to reward me, said Pierce. He flew out to Texas to wine and plague me and try to run me. He cold following me, I had to move to absence three opposite states, to get apart from him.
Of course, in attendance is no proof that this sour facsimile of Pierce's story is right. No photos of Klass and Pierce together, no word-process or documents of any sort to understudy up this dodgy loud noise. Wearing the Q&A, I asked Pierce why he had improved his story from 1978. He claimed he didn't. Pierce explained that what happened was, he got wearing a vengeance considering Mike Rogers, and so in vex he grumbled it about that the case was a hoax, but that was not totally.

Fascinatingly, Pierce says a few rather disparaging outfit about Travis Walton! At one succession, Pierce says,
"Travis is the most unacquainted, insensitive appeal I've regularly met in my life. He ain't got passable deduce, you have appreciation for the book he wrote, he couldn't go through wrote that book by himself. He ain't got passable arithmetic mean deduce to interconnect that book." (It was far-flung understood that John G. Fuller, dramatist of "The Periodic Slip" and other books, was Walton's ghost writer.)Pierce in the same way says that he never liked Travis in the first post, and explains why.

The last few pages rub on to the Sheriff department's first polygraph test, particular being Travis was stationary "mystified." This information was prior to huge, and has been published in a choice of articles and books.
